I can see that. Ive lost to a couple Rogs, but Ive beaten way more, and even have a few RQs against Rogs as well. He has no real anti air, and wall dive can negate his charge and not a damn thing he can do about it unless he wants to join you in the air.

PRog is right. Vega can poke us to death, his jump neutral kicks punish bad dash punches hard, and his pressure in clawless is very hard for us to escape since our defensive options are poor.

We do have real anti airs though. 5MP and 2 HP.

Balrog is not some hive organism there is no we. Maybe sf6 he can be an insect king.

Because Cammy has excellent offensive options and Vega has relatively poor defense!!!

I was playing in BL against a buddy and the only way Cammie wins against Vega is when she is going balls out and screws defense.

I’ve been saying Cammy shits on Vega in this game since the beginning. My approach to fighting her is to not fight her. Walk backwards and make her come to you and whiff punish. Always look out for a dive kick.

only problem with walking backwards is once you’re in the corner you’re fucked

she’s got great AAs and you can’t slide under her jump ins if she has meter, or even against regular dive kicks.

That Cammy got a couple air-to-airs on Nemo too which hurts since it’s your only reliable option to beat dive kicks.

i feel like claw on may be stronger in this MU. you’ve got the range on the ground; you can’t anti-air her with c. fp no claw anyway, but the QCB HP ASE is a good risk to take if you’ve got meter. the damage is insane, and it’ll beat all dive kicks because of it’s ridiculous hitbox

My other biggest problem with her is that c. mk. She can keep you in proximity blockstun for so long then just get so much damage outta that when I’m trying to pce ;___;

I think your best option is to be as proactive as possible on defense to prevent cornering yourself. An EX Barcelona escape is not really that viable with her spiral arrow especially if she has V-trigger. Sometimes I have found that mixing in just regular barcelona escapes can mess with your opponents head. But Cammy can really keep the heat on.

There’s really no way to beat her EX Dive kick even if you know it’s coming, except maybe ASE But that’s such a hard read. Regardless, if you can find a way to drain her meter she will have a lot harder time getting in. All it takes is blocking one of those to sometimes lose a round though.

EDIT: Yeah, like I don’t think being defensive against a character who we literally don’t have a solid tool to keep out is a good idea. And the problem is even by being proactive you’re still going to lose to the same shit… If you don’t have a means of putting her on notice for EX Dive kick (and i think HP ASE is the only move we have that can deal with it) it’s just going to be a bad MU for you

I only don’t know if I’ve seen hp.ASE connect as an anti-air more than a few times. If I get a read and I’m in the right position, it feels like clawless cr.hp or air-to-air are better options against ex-divekick and really messes with their head when it works. I don’t use Claw’s claw a lot though.

Dude, using cr.HP with vega to anti air cammy is suicide.

hmm, well actually the hitbox for cammy’s EX Dive kick doesn’t look nearly as good as I Thought it did. maybe it’s less of an issue than i think

at the very least, clawless c. hp does have 4 active frames which does help. but a trade in this scenario is not favorable

it looks like it should be a viable solution, just going off the hitboxes. but the unpredictable trajectory / spacing of EX dive kick still makes it hard.

lk roll actually beats regular dive kick if you do it early enought…and if you are too early…you scape…don’t know about ex dive kick…i have had more sucess landing hp ase lately…it works in a bunch of characters due to slow or conviniently high jump arcs but yeah very hard to do on reaction alone…you usualy want to put yourself in a situacion when you look vulnerable to be jumped in…like pressing buttons near max st mp range…also when you have them near the corner you can almost feel that jump in coming in when you walk fordward…to be fair even the most casual players know by now how weak Vega’s anti air is so a lot of people are dead focus on getting that jump in and that makes landing HP ase easier for me

Pretty sure it does…but then again i’m not playing high level unpredictable Cammys…in fact most of my Cammy experience lately has been against CPU level 8 Cammy in the training room and although the AI is surprisingly good at that level it does get predictable after a while so meaby thats why i get it to work…ex-dive kick seems to be too damn fast to even try

Cr.hp, st.hp and LP.roll all beat ex. divekick. Cr.hp is probably the easiest to use, likely because of active frames. It’s not easy, but it works.

You have to use cr.hp and air-to-air in specific situations and ranges, otherwise you get destroyed. If you let Cammy jump whenever she wants, you will get destroyed, but that goes for any matchup.

what other matchups is heavy ASE good at? I just currently use it to beat the bison stomps
