It’s in the wiki of shoryuken.com
It’s listed as 5.4 pixels per frame for Chun and 5.5 pixels per frame for Vega in the official guide.
Oh well… I was wrong then. That’s awesome! I thought they had the same forward walk speed since the game came out. Thanks for correcting me.
Yeah, and i believe Vega and Cammy have the same walkspeed and they both are the fastest walking? can someone confirm?
1 pixel difference, might as well be the same. Sure showed Rugalitarian.
He literally did though because he does have the best walk speed.
Being literally right is like the best kind of right.
Chun-Li and Necalli both walk forward faster than Cammy. Although like Moonchilde said it’s not enough to be noticeable. However, Cammy walks backwards faster than Necalli. I was surprised at Necalli’s walk speed.
The top 3 walk forward speeds go like this:
- Vega
- Chun-Li
- Necalli
That’s like counting grains of sand, and counting 10,099 while your friend counts 10,100. Someone else counts 10,100 and verifies he’s right. He touts off about it, and rubs all that sand in your face. Literally right, but at those margins, what’s the fucking difference? You have 10,100 grains of sand in your face, hair, panties, and probably dick hole, instead of 10099. Does that 1 less grain of sand in your dick hole make a difference? Nah, because you still got sand in your face and your friend is still a smug asshole.
Sure showed you.
:s
Does anybody have tips for the Necalli match up?
It feels like Necalli players just spam stomps in my face and I can’t do anything about them. I know when V-trigger is active those stomps have like +5 frame advantage ON BLOCK but I feel like I shouldn’t be letting Necalli get away with stomps in Normal mode. I also have trouble punishing “The Discs Guidance” even though it is -6 on block.
Is Necalli’s overhead punishable on block? I know you can crush counter his DP on block/whiff and honestly that’s the only time I can score decent damage against Necalli. That and when I can predict a command grab. Other than that it feels like I’m screwed. I can’t jump at him because st.LP is a fuckin three frame anti-air. Slide sweep is just asking for a torrent of power activation combo and getting your soul eaten.
Can Vega punish moves that are -4, -5 or -6? Should I keep the claw on or go clawless? I tend to keep the claw on in this match because I don’t like being close to Necalli.
What the fuck do I do?
I wasn’t even trying to show up rugaltarian. I just wanted to reassure him that Vega does indeed have the fastest walk speed. Forward and back. Now I’m a smug asshole who isn’t that great at Street Fighter.
I should probably just hang myself. If I’m dead I can’t say stupid shit.
Necalli’s lk and mk stomps are always negative, they just become 1 frame safer on VT activation. They are also projectiles so you can EX CT through them. His lk stomp is pretty punishable in non VT state at -4 allowing c.lp to EX FBA and -3 in VT so you can s.lk xx VT. MK stomp is never punishable. You can punish mk stomp if canceled from c.mk between the cancel. The thing to be careful is trying to punish in between pokes since Necalli players do have set ups that trade with 3 frame normals allowing NEcalli to combo c.fp after the stomp.
Disc Guidance you can target combo clawless or c.lp/c.mp with claw. Overhead is generally unpunishable due to range but it should be -4.
Vega can punish -4, 5, and 6 depending on range. You can only use lights for -4. For -5 it’s light or clawless c.mp. -6 you can target combo or command grab.

LOL, I know you weren’t. I was just posting exaggerated shit at the expense of us and our fastest but barely fastest walk speed in the game. Those developers sure showed us, didn’t they. “You can have the fastest walk speed in the game! By a pixel…”
For -4 frame Necalli stuff you can get c.LP xx e.ASE. A lot of people including myself tend to forget about that combo. If you have v.T you can probably get a much bigger combo off e.FBA juggle into v.T.
c.LK also has pretty good range, so if you use that and link to c.LP xx v.T
Best meterless disk’s guidance punish with claw is cr lp st lp AE for me. The roll’s less damage and less advantageous. -6 is an awkward punish, because it’s either the above or, like, cr mp with claw on. Clawless you can get the target combo off of it, though.
Im streaming right now but not sure for how long. I usually only stream when I am playing my team mates.
I think claw has a wonderful AA game.
Anytime someone jumps you can on reaction slide under, the slide ends before they land, even better, if their close u can actually get a free poke(there could actually be more stuff)
Like no one should be getting hit with jumpins at all. All claw players should be doing this.
Depends on the spacing Jin. A perfect reaction slide can still get bopped by a jump mk from the right range. The hard part about Vega’s AA isn’t not having options, it’s just that he doesn’t have any one or two easy, one size fits all option like some of the cast.
I’m finding I’m liking st mk as a meaty more and more, as it leaves the opponent closer than a cr mk. Being the same on block but with more active frames, it can give way more frame advantage too. A meaty st mk into hp command throw connects, whereas the cr mk requires the lp or ex one, and sometimes even a little inching forward to make sure it connects.
What are you talking about?Slide doesn’t lose to any jump ins at close range nor to anything at meduim rage.
(Edit:To clarify, I mean sliding under jumpins.)
Please prove me wrong, if iam wrong, but, its easy to see that the slide has amazing utility.
Yeah it’s great for the weak spot he has anti airing, just depends on the situation if you can react fast enough which generally isn’t a problem.
