Zeus will have Combo’s ear way before any of us do.
Why does Capcom hate Vega
Gratz to Chris King for winning the Ultra SF4 exhibition,
well… i’ma hand Peter my and Haz’s notes. Sorry guys, but I’m asking for the removal of the super “buff.” I’d rather have something that’s useful than something to troll with.
Also… rumors from SCR are that Vega’s EX RCF link was getting put back in. Also, I was watching the USF4 stream from France this morning. Anyone know what the invincibility for EX Green hand and Splendid claw are? I saw EX GH trade Vega’s U2… not a good thing.
Edit: nvm. Vega’s U2 startup got shortened by a frame and with it he lost 1 frame of invincibility. Both wear off after 13 frames now resulting in a trade where before the extra startup frame actually benefitted in that situation.
Still would rather have the faster startup though.
Have the faster start up and add a frame of invince. Don’t see a problem there.
Capcom will certainly remove the super buff for you. They won’t give us anything in return.
Gg bro
congrats to chris king. Always felt he was more solid than zeus.
What is the general consensus of the changes so far?
Which part of the changes do people like/dislike at the moment?
lol wat
didn’t see it coming
Thank you.
And yeah. I don’t care about the Super buff as well. It would be a change to actually make Super useful, but it would not accomplish too much in terms of making Claw better.
Sure, there is more damage in a strong hitconfirm, but I am unsure if that is going to be viable with all those EX RF bullshit that are around.
Is Zeus joining Final Round?
So are we currently hoping that edition select is tournament standard?
I know Super Vega is pretty much the best version of Vega (unless there’s a bunch of changes in Ultra that are yet unknown), but AE Yun/Yang is not something I’d really like to deal with again.
I only ask because there are a LOT of people who are saying let edition select rock.
it only rocks for those who mains a previously nerfed character. no edition of vega can compete with ae yun or vanilla sagat
It would make all the balancing procedure thats been going for 6 years go to waste.
From day 1 I’ve wanted Capcom to dump this Edition Select thing completely. If it becomes the standart and Vega doesn’t get any “real” buffs, USF4 will really be the death of SF4 series for me.
Well, I think super Vega in edition select is at about the same place on the tier list as Ultra Vega in Ultra.
@Niah Super Vega can fight Vanilla Sagat, it’s just AE yun/Yang and Super Cammy that would be freaking impossible.
Super Vega vs Cammy is indeed a tough match, I just played that a week ago since my friend couldn’t get his XBL account to work. We couldn’t play AE, so ended up playing some Super. Losing the faster cr.MK did suck, and CH wasn’t helpful in that match against her dive kick game, which was all he had to do to gain space even at the cost of a trade or whatever.
I don’t think Super Vega would be any better off in ES mode.
every time i see “super vega” i instantly think of dragonball, haha
Ultra Vega would be the best one at dealing with dive kicks and general pressure, but most other matchup you would want Super. Not that Vega would be very good anyways, you’re still not going to have any chance against AE Yun, Vanilla Sagat or Vanilla Akuma.
But Edition Select being the main tournament mode would just be stupid either way for reasons I already said. Why would even rebalance the game with Ultra if you’re just going to instantly invalidate it? Why would you thoughtlessly throw together 6 years worth of design decisions?
because this is the last version of the game. I don’t see another update happening. At very best there will be one more slight rebalance but pretty much only if we have DLC characters and only if they sell well. Making edition select available for online would be an easy and cheap “update” to do later after ultra has already been explored for a bit.
Edition select? Vanilla Sagat ain’t the issue man. There’s a host of characters across multiple games who fuck Vega up.
Have fun ever beating a vanilla Rufus with dat damage.
