Vanilla Claw had more taunts than even Dan back then. Claw Throw, Mask throw for 2! Bars and a 25% life penalty, POM in all its original glory and let’s not forget the old school “fail to grab the wall” glitch wich fucked up every other Izuna and even his Ultra…

It’s a classic A3 move IIRC. It wasn’t an overhead in that either, and it being an overhead still feels sorta tacked on for me (well, it WAS tacked on). It needed SOMETHING though, I don’t know how much damage an overhead really gives anyone in SF unless it can combo, I might have had it get off the ground much faster and be comboable on crouching hit? That might overlap too much with CH though. Definitely wasn’t a glitch that it didn’t have an overhead property, it just wasn’t a useful move in general.
My favorite thing in vanilla was when I saw a focus attack, reaction ultra one’d, and they would backdash out and use the backdash invul to completely avoid my focus attack and punish it. That was cool. Yay. Thank god they gave me ultra 2.

I would have loved it even more if Zeus ended the game with a super. He had full bars for it, and Kbrad was dizzy…wouldve been a perfect ending for Vega’s first major!

Gotta say though, not to undermine zeus’ acclomplishment, but kbrad sure sucks in the vega match up.
He can not play the neutral game with vega to save his life and didnt punish erronous walldives with an ultra once amongst many errors.
He only rode knockdowns to easy round victories like any cammy could.
Kind of sad a player like that makes the grand final over someone like dieminion, but alas…cammy.
Zeus vs nuckledu should teach me a lot though, i couldn’t beat nuckledu at all at CEO, so i am looking forward to get some tips from a recording.
Its really awesome to see vega finally win something big, i knew it would have to be zeus to do this ever since i saw him play awesomely against sanford a while back.
I would really look forward seeing him pick up sponsors, being at more events and playing some asians in the future.
