Vega Combos & Glitches

News: After FADC you can do

cr.mk -> cr.lp -> EX Dive

Does 322 damage lol

^quit playin…awww its bout to get flashy in this bit. but damage scaling is a bit aint it. has this been established, or are u just being nice and informing me lol.

Damage totals from above combo (j.HP -> close st.HP -> RCF) on full health Ryu:

RCF Strength

Weak: 238 (4 hits)

Medium: 270 (6 hits)

Hard and EX: 286 (7 hits) *Same stun as well: 394

FINALY BABY! alright the first official tourney i was able to STAY for happend last night. i placed fourth. about 30 people were there i believe. or in between 20 and 30. but i got fourth and it was the first tourney. didnt feel that different from xbox play though

ok, ill have another try.

the scenario is the following: vega is crouching in close range next to oyur opponent. now u may want to reversal exfba or something. your holding “down back”. on your way up to “forward up” u can press hard punch before actually pressing the 2xKick.
that way vega is gonna hit one of the two hits from standing close hardpunch and then cancel into exfba. this makes it a three hit combo with izuna drop. i also think that the hard punch has higher priority. note that u have to crouch in close range to do this.

summary: charge db, move upfoward, immediately press hard punch, cancel into exfba

With scarlet terror it seems possible to charge db, forward + hp~hk, so we get the first hit of the close standing hp…
…but with exfb, wich is upforward motion, i fear that a jumping hp will come out.

If the thing you say is possible, it is hard as hell for sure, and no reliable at all (i can’t even do the close hp before Scarlet Terror… i won’t even try the barcelona thing)

its not that hard at all, you just have to hit the hp when u are right in the middle of your motion, meaning in neutral position, and hit 2xk right after that.

It’s similar to my clHPxxST trick, but I don’t find it as useful because ex FBA can actually hit crouching opponents, and cMP does more damage than just one hit from clHP.
Yes, it is possible. I’ve done it, it’s pretty easy.

Ok after a few hours of training mode, i finally can do j.hp -> close s.hp xx EX dive 100% of the time.
Sometimes i can do ST at the end instead of the walldive.
Thanks everyone for the info.

I don’t see this mentioned a lot, but j.RH->cr.mk->ST is a great a little combo. It’s an EX-less version of j.HP->cr.mp->EXFBA.

This thing works great with neutral jumps. I’ve been using it a lot lately. I know it’s pretty standard stuff, but I haven’t seen it used it any recent vids.

Neutral jump RH is your friend :stuck_out_tongue: I think this is probably Vega’s best answer to jump-ins : /

My favorite combo is:
Jump in HP, crouching MK, LK Scarlet Terror, EX Scarlet Terror

Although it doesn’t work all the time, depending on what the opponent is doing.

wat does cl HP mean?

cl = crouching… left?

cl = close
and OMG ur psn name, BANGLA BHAI
I FREAKIN’ KNOW WHO THAT IS

LOL

Problem is, did u play me or one of my 2 bro’s lol xD

Prolly me… was i aight? :razzy:

I normally play Balrog, but my bro started playin him aswell to prove tht i suck in the game, and tht its the player thts good rofl.

So im moving bak to my favourite player, who is super under powered imo.

Thanks for the reply. :tup:

o wait, ur on the xbox… do i kno u? lol

No, I mean, I know the ACTUAL bangla bhai!
The one that got himself caught because he forgot to throw a grenade after he pulled the pin.
Just an fyi, i’m bengali too lol

O right lol.

Good game last night, by the way. Wish I could have made a better showing for myself though.

Tested Df.HK to DF.HK You can do it on a standing Character only at max range and it seems not to combo into anything else( D.HK? maybe?)…

its not allowed to link because one df.rh is 100 stun now imagine 200 +200 (EX FBA) or 200+150+100 (EX Scarlett Terror) thats 400 or 450 stun. Im guessing that Capcom figured it wouldnt be a fair amount of stun and would make him broken. bonkers if sagat can link two kicks why not vega?

Do you use df. HK --> LK ST --> EX ST?
