Vega Combos & Glitches

I swear if those SRK shortcuts make me throw my claw one more time >:(

I think the slide glitch may happen because the hit stun frames on jumping Fierce last for so long. I am not saying this is normal, but I have noticed that neutral jumping Fierce is the only move that you can combo into DF Roundhouse and combo with, and you can only do it really late. All the glitches in that video seem to happen when you hit late with the jumping Fierce, and it seems to hit normally when you do it earlier.

Huh. Really? Does RCF combo from c.MK->c.MP? I’d have figured it does that thing where the combo breaks in between the MP and the final RCF claw because you’re out of range for the little roll hit in between.

As for using RCF a lot, I don’t think it’s a problem as long as you’re sticking to jab. I tend to have the opposite problem - I burn through meter like mad, partly because I like to use EX Walldive as a poke. My game got a fair bit better when I started to incorporate RCF and df+RH->ST, particularly because it’s good to have some meter banked in fireball matchups.

I think the hits knock them too far and the RCF doesn’t connect.

You can use it on the Super, the most awesome taunt ever. *cough cough

Sorry I don’t read the forums for combos. I watch videos and take them that way. What does XX mean? how many times you use that move?

Just so you guys know on the sliding glitch: An interesting thing is that Claw only slides through Ryu when he goes into his “oww you hit my stomach” animation. If you jump kick/slash his head or leg area, you will not slide through him. If you hit his general stomach area it gives him a specific animation and you will slide through him.

Dont know if this has already been posted but when doing a scarlet terror you can actually walk forward before doing it. this gives it a little more range. again sorry if this has been posted

Just something I wondered about today: Could the priority of rcf be as weird as in ST, meaning that it has very good priority if you hit with the claw at the end?

I don’t quite understand how one would do this.

It’s because the inputs are so lenient. Take Chun’s Ultra for example; hold back, forward, back, forward + KKK. You can actually double-tap the first forward and get a dash in, and the Ultra will still go off.

I may have found a cross-up (under?) for Vega. Sorry if this is already known or anything, I haven’t been to SRK for a couple of weeks.

Anyway, I was messing around in training and did a jumping forward HP and then immediately followed it up with a slide, and the stun from the HP allowed me to slip under my opponent without hitting her (Saku is all I’ve tried so far). The recovery on the slide’s a bit screwy as it leaves you too far away for throw, but I’ve yet to try comboing EX FB’s or even the Ultra from it. Timing when the j.HP hits might allow for less space after the slide for a throw or something. I’ve tried the df.HK from the slide, and seems like it might work, but again, I haven’t tested any of this stuff outside of a stationary Sakura in training. I’ll test out some more after work today and try to use it in a few online matches.

Might be some form of quasi-crossup (cross-under, I guess :P).

Note that you can also cross slide some characters as they’re standing up after an ID or down+HK.
