Ex wall dive to Ultra works?
So far the only “EX-special move to Ultra” situations I’ve seen are:
Abel: ex-qcf+p to ultra
Boxer: ex-dash straight to ultra
Zangief: ex-360+KK to ultra
The common point between these special moves is that they all have “super armor”.
So I’m quite sceptic about Vega’s…but please do let us know if it works!
Has anyone tried LK Scarlet Terror (hits jumping opponent at the highest point possible, and also counts as a “counter”) to Ultra? I’m trying against Bison as he jumps very high but it doesn’t seem to work…

Although as optimistic I can be… I must say that I totally believe that ExWallDive into Ultra is impossible.

Vega leaves the ground too quickly before any other input can be done.

Vega’s ExWallDive hits when he is already airborne, and Blood High Claw can not be done on air.

Getting the Kara-cancel command will only result in Vega doing the Ultra while wasting 1 ExBar without any hit to link or combo it into ultra.

It really looked like ST had more of a chance to link into the Ultra than EX Walldive. Pretty lame that the distance/timing is right… it just doesn’t work for no reason.
has anyone tried holding db charge df. rh db ub kkk, i know vegas ultra hits people out of the air and df rh leaves them juggle…able, sorry if this has been posted already i was just learning how to do blankas hop into ultra and i thought maybe vega had something like that
I’m not sure if this is possible. The kick takes some time, and the charge might be over by the time you are able to do the move. Even if you could do it, I think they’d be too close to the ground by the time you reach the wall for the ultra.
Which is bullshit since if you hit the ultra after crumple you pick them up off the floor.

Damn. Cross another one off the list I guess. The Vega brethren has been trying a lot of ways to combo his Ultra lately, and so far no luck. I’m pretty much out of ideas. Oh well, hopefully someone will discover something here soon.
Maybe in the patch they’ll allow us to get Ultra after Scarlet Terror? LOL, unlikely I know, but one can hope, right?
Best way still seems to be for anti fireball and anti jump-in… or sometimes on wakeup actually…it can be surprisingly fast especially if you’re backed into a wall.
As I already posted earlier, it DOES seem to work somehow. The thing is, it cancels too soon. I have voice on japanese.
If you try the input Bebop posted, Vega’ll start to scream (Super Bar musn’t be full!) as he does (and only does) in a EX Walldive, then does the Ultra though.

I mean if you have done it yourself even saying that would be nice too but right now it just sounds like you’re insisting it works even though everyone who has tried it has yet to confirm that it actually does work…
post a vid and let the rest of the vega player try it out maybe its wall distance or where the ex hits him, just post the video
Nah, I don’t think he means he actually got it to work. I think what he’s saying is that Vega starts screaming LIKE it’s an EX Walldive, but it never actually goes into EX, it just shoots over to Ultra. He’s just going off the sounds, I think.
Nah, you got it wrong! It doesn’t connect at all.
Just try it and LISTEN in. The thing I wanted to say is, it cancels into the ultra, but too early too hit the opponent with the EX dive. That can be seen (or heard, as I already said) by listening in. You will hear his “Yuuuuu…” he usually DOESN’T do when performing an Ultra. He then still does the Ultra though. That means it’s indeed the EX Walldive for a split second.
Let’s sum it up:
Ultra - no "yuu…"
EX Walldive: "yuu…"
When I do the move, he DOES the Ultra, but makes the sound of the walldive at the very beginning.

I don’t know if this has been said, I looked for it but didn’t see it (probably missed it who knows) but I’ve recently learned that you can cross Guile up with jumping FP. I first noticed it a few days ago playing against a friend who switched to Guile, he was backing up and I jumped in with FP since he wasn’t charging for FK and I hit him and ended up on the other side. I chalked it up to lag or that he was moving forward at the time so I dismissed it.
Then last night I was fighting my friend who mains Guile, forced him to break his down charge and he went back into crouch and I did the jumping FP on him and landed on the other side for a poke string combo. So I went into training mode and lo and behold it works. The only problem is 1) the spacing for it has to be surgically precise it seems and 2) you can be Flash Kicked in the nuts if you do it too often.
So far I’ve only gotten it to work on Guile and ironically Blanka when he was spamming electricity, the latter is really dangerous though do to the vert ball but it worked anyway for that moment. I’ll try to run it against more people tomorrow to see what I come up with and if you want I can put a video up to show when you hit. This is all of course if it wasn’t well known.
