I main Vega and haven’t had any sort of desync problems that could be attributed to him that I’ve seen. I have heard plenty of people use it as an excuse for losing, however. 
No. You’re probably negative edging the punch.
If you guys are serious about the desync with Vega however… you’ll have to come up with a set of steps that lead to this desync happening each and every time. It’s the only way to fix it.
I have only played maybe 20 or so Vegas online, and there was one glaring instance where he just stood still towards the end. I figured that he just gave up but who knows now i guess.
I’m such a sucker for lame jokes.
I’m thinking back hard and I’m pretty sure I’ve had a few matches, both as and against Vega, disconnect on me right near the end. That said, I have a stupid-high rate of disconnects anyway so my experiences are probably not a very good example.
With this news should we expect attack of the Veganoobs now

What will happen is that the player your playing against will just stop moving. They will stay like that until the last hit of the three wins when you will be disconnected. When I playing Vega this does happen a lot. I just thought it was happing with all characters. I was killing people very quickly and just thought that after the first round they where dropping.
Talking to one guy who had just stopped and then started again when I won the round. So it?s 2 -1 to me, But on his screen he got a win for the round as it had showed I had stopped. It was 1 - 2 to him. So when I got the three wins it kicked me. As it could not be both 3 -1 and 2 - 2
Add as well and this is the big point.
I play a good Vega and on the first day I was about win loss record was 40/4 wins. Lots of Vega. When I looked at my record on line it was showing it was running 20/20… To day I?m on about 130/120. I say max I?ve lost 20% of my games.
I got to the point I was getting so ?what the hell? and looked at my record before and after a games I won and it showed me as a lose. I could not say if I had problems or who I was using. Next time I?m on I go to town and tell you what happened and what win lose I got.
I?m using a 360 with wifi and a stick.
no. because even if you win on your screen you will still get a loss.
i’m gonna retract my earlier statement as to i wasnt paying attention to what really was going on. last night i played 10 matches and won 8. i started with 80 losses in my record but at the end of those 10 matches i had 84 which meant i lost 4 matches that night losses:confused:
i remember one match against guile where he just stopped fighting in the 4th round and i thought that was that, but i got the L. the other one happened against gief where the game just went to the disconnect sceen.
I use Vega most of the time and I had a major problem with this the other night. But it was only 1 night it did this.
Would it be ridiculous to try to ask everyone to keep track of who they were playing as/playing against whenever they got disconnected?
People do still disconnect on purpose though. The thing to watch out for is when your opponent just stops moving or their play style completely changes and they appear to be attacking randomly, often followed by a disconnect and/or a loss on your record even though you didn’t lose.
I mix a good amount of Vega into my play. I did have one night where I had Vega DC issues. I got frustrated/stubborn and kept selecting Vega and it kept disconnecting. This happened 4-5 times where I would select him and then it’d DC after the versus screen.
I figured it was my connection and eventually just gave up that night. I haven’t had it happen before, but then again, I’ve never had that sort of DC issue with any other character.

So out of 11 games I won 9 lost 2 but shows as won 4 and lost 7. two of the loses where straight I won but got a lose for it as well.
that was using 360 and a stick. I think you need to change the name from vega problems and see if it’s all or just vega.
yes it’s no fun but use the key i used and at least you can spend some time winning the fights lol. just do it for 10 fights and see.
i played vega last night to see if it was true and i desynced 3 out of 4 games.

Wow. Thanks to android barker’s post, I now know why so many times my opponents, when I was Vega, just look like they stop playing and give up until the next round. Hahahahaha. And it happened with me playing other characters as well, but maybe they were using Vega. Hmmm… I was so confused by why my opponents would sometimes just stop moving and I even walk up to them and stand there. Were they giving me rounds? Did they think my Vega sucked that badly that they were giving me freebies? I was never sure.
now that i’m paying attention to the problem i have begun to notice it as well.

Yeah man, you’re definitely on to something. I was watching for it today, and it was a pretty good day for my internet connection. I was only disconnected mid-game a few times… and most of them were against Vegas.
Here’s the real question, is this going to be patched, and is Backbone competent enough to patch this?
