@ Kei_Kun- Yes, I can so see that, even considering how extremely difficult and rare it would be to do, in the first place. And im guessing that our defense against jumpins was too powerful LOL. I am so surprised that Abel’s breathless was not nerfed using their logic. That move is horribly broken, especially considering how ridiculously powerful Abel already is.

@ pedo- Definitely going to use either Ibuki or Akuma who were both once my seconds. I find it difficult to do raging demon on pad the fast way which I would think is a necessary skill to have in order to use that Ultra effectively (like as an AA). I also suck with Akuma now, and I find him kind of hard to use because there is so much to learn. With Ibuki on the other hand I have most of her necessary skills down. So I am probably going to end up maining Ibuki.

Im maining Sagat one way or the other in AE. Just to cover bad match ups for Vega and to switch it up. Also going to use Yang as long as his moveset is to my liking. As for Akuma i feel you, he is pretty hard to use for me when it comes time to do the vortex, but i can zone with him but I find it really easy, but i cant poke with him i dont like how st.hk functions. funny i cant even Demon.

Demon is really easy to pull out if you plink. I use it for AA all the time.

St Hk hits differently on different characters…since it kicks twice, sometimes the first kick would hit and the 2nd would miss…it’s annoying but if you use it effectively it’s good if the 2nd kick misses because people would try to attack you when they see you miss…you can cancel into a demon anytime to catch them trying to hit you during your whiff.

I like Akuma… he’s fun to use because of his mixups…i actually use him more often than Vega since vanilla.

I considered that too, but even if it was 18 frame dash I don’t think you could combo SC if it has 7 or 8 frames of startup right? I guess it depends on how they implemented the ex rcf buff, was it A) Lessen Vega’s recovery (no effect on fadc advantage) or B) Lengthen opponent’s hitstun (you could combo all sorts of stuff after fadc in that case).

But yeah I’ve been secretly hoping the reason they added startup to SC was because of another unnanounced buff (possibly even inv frames on ex ST).

The sad alternative is that they are just trying to remove unintended SC combos from the game (CH > SC grounded, jHP/RH > SC).

Ok so me and theonly_J hit seth up at NCR. We asked him why Vega was nerfed again when he was actually getting decent and if capcom has something against Vega. First thing outta seth’s mouth “Vega was the #2 guy for a long time.” So we were like “wait… We’re not asking for a top tier Vega… we just want enough to have a decent shot.” He goes. “Well, I think Vega players need to turtle more.” Me and J just looked at each other in shock. I said “That’s about the extent of what Vega can do under pressure! He has nothing, no get off me move, no reversal, no reliable AA, and now one of the best moves we have to somewhat start an offense is getting nerfed! What the hell?” His response. “I think Vega’s problems lie more with other character’s strengths more than his weaknesses.” We just walked away in disbelief after that.

Him and the rest of capcom needs to get punched in the face -.-

You can’t really listen to Seth Killian. Remember when someone asked about Vega in super? He said "We gave him a little something, but don’t expect anything significant.’ Or something along those lines.

In Vanilla, I always felt like Seth Killian should be placed in a room, where he was forced to play vs. mode as Claw against high level Rufus, Boxer, and Cammy players. However, instead of starting the fight at neutral stance, he should be forced to start the fight with his back to the corner, with one of those three characters already on his ass.

For every round he lost, he should receive an increasingly painful electric shock.

Then, only then, would he understand.

Still C.mk being quicker changes alot.

So Vega is fine and the rest of the cast barring Hakan and Makoto are overpowered? Then NERF THEM! Things like this make me hope Mortal Kombat is more balanced than super. I have reservations considering how UMK3 turned out but hey here’s to hope!

im sorry, but i cant stop laughing at at the idea of a balanced MK game.

What they need to do is give him a real ultra that works for something (like most of the cast). I couldn’t really care less for what it does as long as it actually helps him (AA, comboable, cheap breathless type, juri type 2, anything else thats useful). Then give him 18 frame dash and he’ll be much more playable.

Fixing CH would be nice as well…

Although it wasnt a buff this fix singlehandedly made vega a real threat at all time and stopped making him the random mess that was vanilla vega thT relied on the opponent fucking up. Fixing his hit box on attavks. The fix on cr.lp made the bison match up a 5-5 provided bison is on offense. Although they still need to fix more issues like st.lk combos missingon half the cast and cr.mk cr.lp cr.mp missing as well. If they dont adress this vega will not have a chance and be forced tl play a very weak turtle game because there is no go to AA that works 100% of the time.

I was thinking possible delay on SC is because othe braind dead setup on cst.hp. Provided you cst.hp someone when they focus free ultra. Or if you meaty the second hit knowing theyll mash crouch tech, vb or if you meaty on lelple that moves loke ex seismo or ex soul spiral. All free ultras.
