Vanguard Princess: Happy 5th anniversary!/eigoManga SUCKS - Now on Steam

Luna having limited bullets and needing to reload sounds like the biggest change.

Awesome.

Luna and Kurumi both got major changes. I’m also finding that jump invincibility thing to be really interesting. I’m not sure I like the changes to throws and to Kanae’s dog, but that’s only because I’m biassed towards unblockables.

Well I downloaded NTLEA and the game window opens, is all black then I encounter an error and it has to close. I don’t suppose anyone is doing whatever they did to the previous versions to get it to run without doing a bunch of special stuff?

Finally got it to work.

What’s the button input for the UFO? 22B seems to be the special input for every other assist but does nothing with the artist girl.

THanks.

What’s with all the nerfs to Kaede? Was she a top character in Japan or something?

Woah, new version with a patch already?
Downloading…

Someone has talked to Anonym of Akatsuki Blitzkampf

The first thing I thought of was “So now Luna has to restock bullets during those laggy yet chainable ammo-clip poses JUST LIKE SION”

But yeah, Anonym’s got that 6-shooter.

Kaede was always a rather ‘good’ character though I don’t know if she was top or not. She is incredibly fast and has some tricky feints, which can get you a long way in this kind of old-school fighter where all your attacks need to be very carefully planned.

I’m still amazed that Yui has not gotten nearly as many nerfs.

BTW: I added links to version 1.04 to the wiki as well as it’s special patch. I’m still waiting for someone to make the ‘english’ version. hint hint

how is this done, exactly? Is there any specific way we need to re-name the files?

The simplest way to make an “English” version:

  1. Open your winrar software with NTLEA
  2. zip the game folder into “.rar” file (e.g. Vanpri104.rar)
  3. close winrar
  4. open the “.rar” file, this time DON’T USE NTLEA
  5. rename the folder inside the rar file, (e.g. change folder name"vanpri104" to “vanpri”)
  6. Wait until winrar finish editing all files, close winrar
  7. unzip the “.rar” file

Now you have a folder with all file names changed, and you can play it without adjusting language setting.

Okay so I downloaded this game but all the filenames are nonsense like “?T?o?C?o??.demo”. Yes I’m in japanese modo but they still show up that way. I changed the .exe and .kgt file to the real names.
When I start up the game after a while it says “GameDemo open error ???.demo” or something like that, so I’m pretty sure all I need are the correct filenames. Anyone mind giving me those?

Ok, here is the already patchead 1.04 without need of ntlea or applocale

Sorry for being late this time.

Thanks

Thanks for sharing it am dowloading it right now, by the way the patch to use the boss works here or need to be updated too ?

Poor Luna. Now when I play her, I actually have to use melee and assists to fight my opponents.

I don’t think it was mentioned yet, but the amount of bullets that Luna restores, depends on what stage of her gun-kata she is. First restores only one bullet and her super, I think, restores 3 out of 8.

It’s a good thing that her specials consume only one bullet, or a single jump shot would’ve depleted them all.

I have a question: What is the button layout for this game on an arcade stick?

I’ve searched like the first ten pages and some of the last pages and didn’t find an answer.

I play it Blazblue style

[A] ** [C]
[D]

I think the actual Layout would be

[A]**[C][D]

That’s because there is no arcade version of this game, so you can set it however you want.

I’ve also seen this for some games:

** [C] [D]
[A]

I personally use this layout for every doujin/3/4 button fighter:

** [C]
[A] [D]

The BlazBlue layout you listed is probably more common though.

Man I wish they’d bring back combos.

I remember when I could do pilebunker loops with Natalia and stuff, not to mention actual combos with Kurumi. Speaking of which, Natalia got faster. <_>

Kurumi’s new moves are funny. Eko is still probably the most useful I think then followed by Sheira. Eko gives her a new attack and Shiera gives her a really cruel mixup. Juliet and Kanae seem more like novelties to me, since you can’t follow up Julet’s attack with anything or combo into it. Kanae is just a command grab which disables the opponent’s loli for about 10 seconds or so.

Small question, has anyone been able to get this game work with an arcade stick? Just wondering cause I’ve been trying a lot of methods to get my SFIV stick to work for this thing but so far it’s a no-go. :crybaby:
