Vanguard Princess: Happy 5th anniversary!/eigoManga SUCKS - Now on Steam

Someone could get straight up arrested trying to cosplay Luna…

So I installed to game on an old piece of crap laptop that I’d gotten for free a while back and it runs near perfectly on it. I mean my main PC is nothing special anymore, but it really should be able to run this game.

So i tried to play with Saki today and she’s much better to control than Luna.
Strangely I can use Saki’s qcb+B/C move very well while Luna’s qcb+A/B/C move almost never comes out when I want it to. Do i have to fulfill any special requirements to use it?

Umm, I don’t think Luna actually has a qcb move. It’s hcb or rdp (reverse dragon punch) or qcf.

as in :hcb:+A (heart kiss) or :hcb:+C (BFG beam)

or :bdp:+any button (hoping downwards shot)

or :qcf:+A or :qcf:+B (shot+stance moves)

And AFAIK Luna also doesn’t have a normal throw. If you’re looking for an easy character then stick with Saki, it seems Luna is a much more complicated character (or at least, not entirely brain-dead simple).

You’re right Xenozip, guess I must have read that wrong, it’s really rdp. Sorry for my sillyness , heh ;]

And yeah, I also found out that Luna doesn’t have a normal throw, does that mean that she can’t tech other throws?

Luna cannot tech throws. She shouldn’t even be in a position to get thrown IMO :looney:

Yeah we were discussing that some time ago. She can’t break throws. Seems fair. Almost. :expressionless:

Has anyone tried running this off of a thumb drive?

I run it off a thumb drive at work. Runs just as fast with out any problems.

For those of you that follow Doujin games like this, what’s the odds of this being picked up by a company and getting released? Or would it be more likely that the creator would get work with a game company, and this acts as a resume reference?

Well consider how many doujin games have been made (hint: a fucking lot), and consider how many got officially commercialized (hint: 2)

It really depends on how good the game is and how popular it is. I don’t suspect it will get picked up until at least the second or third revision.

Which 2?

I can only think of Melty Blood.

What is the other one?
Ragnarok Battle Offline?

Akatsuki Blitzkampf is doujin even with arcade, right?

Ragnarok Battle Offline never went commercial.

Anyway, it was Melty Blood and Arcana Heart.

Arcana Heart was not a doujin game.

It wasn’t? Oh…I thought it was.

Melty Blood and Akatsuki Blitzkampf are the only two doujin games to get into arcades officially. At this point the moniker no longer applies to either game.

It’s certainly in the style of a typical doujin fighter, but it’s commercial.

Well, as Xenozip says, Melty and Akatsuki are the only fighting games that were originally released as Doujin titles and then jumped to Arcade, but there are other Doujin games that has come to the “commercial world” like Exception Conflict (is gonna be released to Arcades soon) and Chaos Code was made by Team FK, the SCWU creators…

By the way, Nitro Royale (that very shiitty fighting game with Nitro+ chars) was also confirmed for Arcades in December… and i know that this game isnt really Doujin but man… it was made with 2 cents, thats for sure.

EDIT: I cant believe that i forget Monster.
