You run LunaPort.exe file.
Then you Press 1 for Hosting.
Or you Press 2 for Joining.
LunaPort will automatically start ???.exe for you.
To connect to someone, you will need their IP Address.
For someone to connect to you, they will need your IP Address.
so i just wait untill someone connects? Is random?
One thing they don’t tell you is that there are other Lunaport versions besides the one provided in the wiki and nobody uses the one you have. So you’ll be waiting forever for someone to join.

How do you edit? Do you doubleclick the notepad file and change the properties? Because for me, alot of them are just numbers, and I don’t understand what to change them to. If someone could make a guide for it, that’d be really helpful.

Tried my first online match it runs at 7 frames lol. Both my ping and my friends are about 200ms. Why it runs so slow? =o
Funny you mention that, because we tried installing at a friend’s house for the first time and we ran into that problem too. It starts up normal, but then as soon as you get to the title screen the controls don’t work anymore right? And if you somehow make it into the game, it’s in a permanent state of crouching.
Unfortunately we couldn’t figure out what the problem was. VP was running on applocale with Japanese text installed, and the unicode was set to Japanese as well. Tried xpadder, and that didn’t solve the problem either.
Funny thing is, it works just fine with the USB keyboard, so I dunno what was wrong.
Turn off “JoyStick” in the Option>Game menu.
EDIT: Wiki now actually says r36 instead of r31.
But if we can’t even select the game option in the window…
Xpadder worked for me eventually, I had to edit the game.ini to show joystick=0 and then assign the buttons according to a friends layout. Shit was driving me up the wall last night though.

is it normal for the framerate to be so bad during online play? getting 7-9 fps here =\
Do you have shitty connections? Granted the netplay is still being worked on so it won’t be good for everyone, but I get normal framerates for a good long while before it starts to get choppy.
I have 1mb. My friend and i both have 200ms when connecting. Its really unplayble =\
Where is the IRC for this game anyway? I might wanna play some people tonight or later in the day. Although the netplay might be shit right now. How come a caster hasnt been released tho? This game and Kaede deserve it.
Bandwidth has almost nothing to do with latency.
Uploaded some matches to my page. lolz May or may not upload others. Digging through replays feels like such a chore when there are no other options.
