GGPO Weekly VS Tournaments every Wednesday NIGHT!!!

Just want to inform those that don’t know. We have started doing
Weekly Vampire Savior Tournaments on GGPO every Wednesday @ 9pm EST.
So if you’re interested please stop by every Wednesday night.
Standard Double Elimination Format
2/3 sets throughout the Tournament
3/5 sets for the Grand Final
If you are also interested in picking the game up, it’d be a good idea to show up and chat it up with the regulars and spec some matches.
Don’t worry; unlike some other GGPO rooms we are really nice and courteous :lovin:
We dont look down on people trying to learn the game.

Nah I kid, everyone should come even if it’s just to enter the tournament. Who knows? You may end up enjoying this game more than you think.
I normally troll around the A2 room as well, so if you want to ask any questions or play a little bit, don’t hesitate to come in and ask. I’m always up for teaching new people! 
Also, there will be random Team based stuff on weekends (saturday or sunday, depends) so come on over and have some fun!

well i’m going to try and play this game,but before i do is their a lot of competition on GGPO?I don’t want to pick up a dead game.

there isn’t ALOT of competition, the game gets more praise than actual play maybe due to its fast paced nature not being suitable for everyone, but still you won’t have a problem finding people to play against so its definitely not dead.
If you like the game you should definitely pick it up, its a great game with a great deal of depth so you will always feel that u’ve learned something after each set of matches, also the community is helpful, and if u have any gameplay questions don’t hesitate to ask me or the other room regulars.
about the wallpapers, unfortunately it’s seemingly impossible to find any good ones except for morrigan/lilith/demitri .

A lot of the players have just moved onto other games, or like me, are just too busy to be bothered with getting on more than once a week these days. 
What he really means is don’t play like me.
Do’s :
- Learn to IAD (instant air dash), a la Guilty Gear. Invaluable and CRUCIAL to Raptor’s game.
- Learn his combos into super (short short + Death Voltage, Short Short+ Bone Super)
Don’ts:
- Spam the spinny thing, you will get blocked and killed.
- Be defensive. Raptor is best played rushing. Although there is a difference between being defensive and turtling. Don’t turtle. Also, don’t be too rushy…because you’ll fly right into things. Know your openings and see them, then capitalize on them.
- Play like me, you’ll piss off people who actually know how to play Raptor…lolololol
- Do random Death Voltage all the time…I say this because a random Death Voltage is not easily blocked on reaction. The super comes out super fast and is hard to block or stuff unless you see it coming. So use it sparingly and know WHEN to use it.

What you(korey) fail to realize is, the noobs like me can keep the VS community to grow more and more,but when you start to look down on people(I’m Dark Matter on ggpo), noobs like me start to wonder," why should I bother with this dead game"?I hope next time you and xanoz won’t look down on others and talk shit in the VS lobby about ass grabbing me 6 x with victor.
I told you from the get go I was a noob.I played VS 3-4 times online for no more then 30-50 mins each time I played.It’s rather sad to see how fake some people are in the vs community.I hope I don’t see this kind of arrogance continue or I won’t question myself anymore about trying to learn this dead game.
After reading this, I felt the need to step in and say something. Xanoz is ok at VS at best. Nothing special, Korey just plain sucks. No offense to him, But neither of them should be downing ANYONE about their game in vampire savior. I have never played you Alucard so i cannot say what your skill level is or isnt. But Seriously ignore those 2 if they are downing you about your skills. Korey has been playing the game about as long as anyone and im sure he still sucks just as much as he did when he came into the game. Im stating facts period. The ONLY people who online should have any type of actual input on peoples skill levels are

Xanoz and Korey are scrubs by comparison. Plain and simple Ignore them and play your game. If you want vampire savior advice, you can PM me for my aim and i could possibly set up sometime to play with you.
DRAMA. First of all, the whole DarkMatter incident wasn’t even anything. Bizm was inroom talking about how Victor is fun to play, and then said Korey doesn’t know how to do his grapples. So Korey started throwing them out. So I get hated on for laughing at him being rooted on by Bizm? I didn’t even spec the damn match, was purely laughing at them talking. LOL I’M SUCH A BAD PERSON! Plus, I am always nice to any damn person I play or talk to in there besides all the people who know me and I joke around with, I don’t talk down to people like I’m high and mighty (Aya), and especially not new people. Yesterday I got told that I am too serious ingame by someone random just cause I didn’t talk at all. Looks like doing nothing even gets me flamed. Aya you need to worry about your situation with Monster before you come here calling me a scrub and starting drama. I got no beef with you, but don’t go talking shit on me when I don’t do a damn thing to you, I’ll leave it at that. Oh and who said I was claiming to be the shit anyway? Lawls… I do what I do, I don’t need you to come justify my playing when I play for myself anyway…
But on the record I do apologize if anyone thinks I come off as a bitch. But try talking to me before assuming things.
