After reading this, I felt the need to step in and say something. Xanoz is ok at VS at best. Nothing special, Korey just plain sucks. No offense to him, But neither of them should be downing ANYONE about their game in vampire savior. I have never played you Alucard so i cannot say what your skill level is or isnt. But Seriously ignore those 2 if they are downing you about your skills. Korey has been playing the game about as long as anyone and im sure he still sucks just as much as he did when he came into the game. Im stating facts period. The ONLY people who online should have any type of actual input on peoples skill levels are

Actually I suck less, but I still am a scrub by comparison, no doubt. I make no claims saying I was good. I’m better but not good by a long shot. I still have mad respect for you Aya, and I’m not about to get in a pissing match when I know my place in the VS spectrum. I’m not trying to be the best. Someone else can take that quest to be a Pokemon Master.

Alright I think I got taken wayyyyyy out of context here. I wasn’t insulting your play or saying you were a scrub. I was merely joking with B-IzM. Dude, I didn’t even say like 20 words to you. I was nothing but friendly in-game. I even congratulated you on getting a win. I encourage new players, I really do. I actually have a few people who play this game with my encouragement (Dreamfire, The Green Plug). I was just messing around at that point and asked who I should pick. Xanoz suggested Victor so I took it and ran with it. Can I do Victor’s 720? No. But I was assgrabbing because we were talking about how Myrmidon was getting ass grabbed all over the place with Vic. I believe the convo went a little something like this

For all the BS and stuff that’s happened between Xanoz and I, this is where I think that Aya and DarkMatter have gone way too far. I’ve known Xanoz for a good amount of time and she doesn’t talk DOWN to people in a mean way. She pokes fun at us, and we poke fun at her. It’s the nature of the beast. She starts stuff, we play along. People need to grow a thicker skin. Hell, Xanoz and I used to fucking weird mirror matches and laugh at our scrubbiness. She doesn’t talk down to people, she doesn’t proclaim her skill. She’s humble and plays her game. Plus she enjoys the shit for what it is.** A GAME.** Also, who cares if she doesn’t talk? B-IzM doesn’t say shit to me in-game besides GGs and the occasional lol. So you fools need to back the fuck up and look at the whole situation before judging other people. I’m looking at you Aya. You’re going off of what ONE person said, and basing your high and mighty claims on one person’s account. Of course DarkMatter is gonna say “OMG they’re so horrible!” but even he doesn’t look at the whole story. Hardly fair.

Looks like I stumbled upon the thread (and my account) at an opportune time. As the guy originally getting assgrabbed himself that night by a certain Izm, I’ll add my two cents.

Alucard, I can assure you that this was just a misunderstanding, and a reasonable one at that for you to make. I’ve never seen Korey or anybody else talk down to a newcomer. All the current regulars in the GGPO VS room pretty much know each other, the characters they play, and their playstyles. Thus, everybody usually feels free to flood the channel with random comments, vids, B-Izm B&B’s, etc. without really filtering what they’re thinking about. Name-calling is standard fare and is very rarely serious.

So one thing that happens is we make fun of each other and how we play all out loud to the entire channel including anything funny that goes down in one of the matches, all for giggles. B-Izm was assgrabbing me all over the place, so Korey took that for the theme of the night and ran with it. We all understood the context, and that his comment was some “Hay guyz, I assgrabs too lol” nonsense, not at all intended maliciously. Maybe he could’ve realized it could easily have been taken badly by somebody who didn’t yet know the culture of the room, but in any case it really wasn’t an intentional provocation. It shouldn’t be a big issue or an issue at all, and it won’t come up in the future again.

Let’s get back to playing VS and everything else. Alucard, I’m up for games whenever you see me in the room. Be warned your eyes may start bleeding after watching my Jedah for too long, though, and that’s not because of how good it is. :looney:

I figure I should introduce myself in this thread here. I’m a melty blood player (not sure how many people will know the name), and I’ve taken an interest in Vampire Saviour, so now that I have a bunch of free time I thought I would take the time to learn it. My GGPO name is bL1ss, I have a ton of questions that I want to ask, but this doesn’t really seem to be the place so i’ll just ask on GGPO. I look forward to playing with you all Also if anyone is around and willing to put up with a ton of newbish questions (alot of them character archtype related) I’d like to get them answered soon.
