Anyone else’s Mame VS really laggy while offline?
It is a real bitch to practice connecting DI in combos when the game just gets laggy all of a sudden.
Which mame version one are you using? Hit F11 to see what speed/framerate it’s running at. You might need to tweak some options if it’s not 100% steady, or check to make sure nothing in the background is eating CPU time.
Yeah, ive been having lots of fun with it. Ive got a gathering coming up, ill record some matches and mabey you guys could give me some pointers?

Looks like Daigo might make it to the DCC (for VH - Pyron) along with most of the crew in those movies I linked to in the last page – Kawamura, Haramori, Kashiwagi, Tinka (<-“darkpairon”), etc. No Hirai, though. Should be dope, anyway.
Hopefully Daigo’ll bust out VS Bishamon, too. Site says cat-k and Chikyuu need a third…

for zabel’s, it’s the last frame of his jump lk that is unblockable(9th frame, as gbursine said). my favorite setup is IAD j.d.K, IAD j.LK. beware, some crouching chars are too small to get hit by it(like Q-Bee). you can use it when the opponent gets up to as half the cast has a “standing up” frame when waking up.

honestly…I’m getting kinda decent at one hit teching. I remember I spent a lot of time learning how to do it for the last half a month now.
I hope to see a strong showing of people on sunday for Vampire Savior at ECC. (i will probably be playing it throughout the weekend)
Getting back into this game for like the first time in like 6 years.

Any thoughts/tips/general strategies you guys can think of that would help?
Or should I just drop them completely and learn new (better?) characters?

gbursine, I haven’t registered to this site until late, and I know this thread is old, but this is an excellent contribution you made for VS (tournament match videos and website links included), and it’s helped me to a certain extent.
I still play the Vampire series to this day despite its lack of popularity stateside, but the problem is that I don’t have any real comp in my area, so I don’t know how well I’ll measure up against it. I’m just now hearing about ECC, so I’ll miss out on that.
