I’d like to have something cleared up; how much of a ‘shoto clone’ is Morrigan in VS (and to an extent VH)?

Outside of a fireball and a dragon punch, she’s very different from a shoto character IMO, as she’s played entirely differently. Admittedly, I don’t really play Street Fighter, so I don’t know how the shoto characters in those games should be played. But I have been maining Morrigan in both games for years now, and it seems to me that the shotos from SF are zoning based characters, whereas Morrigan excels at rushdown due to her good dash and crazy mixup game. Maybe someone who knows more about SF can give you a better answer than I can.
Demitri and Morrigan were more shoto-ish in earlier games. As time went on they started to be more varietable characters that just so happen to have Shoto moves that scream this is from SF “lol” as time went on.
But to be frank…there is no such thing as a shoto in this game. That’s like saying Sol is a shoto but he has like 2 shotoish moves.
Is it okay if I don’t provide a detailed description on all the different strengths of the moves? There’s not a lot, for example, to be written about Mk Climb Razor or something. I can just segregate it to Normal and ES breakdowns.
Yeah that’s fine, the other pages are like that too. Most of the descriptions for the different strengths are just “goes further” or “goes higher” or whatever.

Actually, if you refresh my memory on how to make new pages in a wiki, I got most of the way through writing a guide to VS-specific mechanics geared towards intermediate-veteran players who are new to VS. I haven’t finished it yet because the last two sections left to write are intimidating, but I can put up the rest in a page if you want, or I could send you the doc if you want to check it for quality control first or something.
