TRUE DAT. BB Hood is so completely on another level it doesn’t even make sense. When you start playing her look up Sako and Kosho (or Kyosho) on youtube. They literally do everything.
Don’t bother with finding BB on GGPO unless Supermotimoti, orgasm, or pixie is on late at night. All three play a solid BB Hood. I’m sure Orgasm and Pixie know some english but iffy on the former. They might not speak to you until after they have annihilated you (This is especially true in orgasm’s case (I have no idea why he is named orgasm)).

Xeno, can you get a shot of the hitbox on Bishamon’s ES fireball? I wanna see exactly where the unblockable hitbox is.
It’s a proxy guard thing, has nothing to do with hitboxes and everything to do with range and proximity guarding AFAIK.

I know how the unblockable looks (had it done to me plenty of times) but it doesn’t “look” like anything special.

After finally finding out that Anakaris is from Darkstalkers (one of my mains in MvC2), I really want to play this game. (Yes late to the party)
Out of curiosity what would be the best way to go about playing this game? (Legit copy? Which console? Emulation?) And which version should I play?

unless you live in a vampire scene, which I highly doubt there is anything like that in the states, your best bet for competition is going to be on ggpo.
All the regulars don’t mind helping new players. You said you like mummy but he’s kinda different from his mvc2 version. A big part of his problem is that he can’t pushblock in this game so constant pressure characters will pretty much rape him and almost every character in this game is capable of constant pressure.
He’s the worst character in VS but that doesn’t mean he can’t win since the game is incredibly balanced. However in this case, he has the hardest time in a balanced game.
For a beginner, I recommend any character but anakaris for learning purposes.
as for info, the very 1st page in this thread has a character break down somewhere on it for every character. It covers basic bnbs and how the characters are played which is really good starting point. Also, some of the vampire savior wiki stuff is being updated by xenozip and other players. Its not completely filled out but for the characters that are completed so far, its very well done.
My offer still stands for Talbain. If you gather the screencaps, I’ll do the rest of the grunt work necessary.

Next is prolly Demitri after Gallon since mad people been buggin for him.
They work the same as Alpha Counters in the Alpha series. Whenever you get put in blockstun, there is a small window (about 14 frames I think) during which you can perform a move. The attack button differs from character to character, but it’s always a dragon punch motion. The character then breaks out of blockstun and performs the Guard Cancel. Also, all GC’s have an ES version.
If you’re going to use GC’s, though, don’t just throw them out with reckless abandon, since they can be baited, punished, and stuffed. Only use them when you’re sure they’ll connect, or else they may do more harm than good. Sometimes it’s better to pushblock, or do nothing at all and punish during their recovery.
OK it’s all uploaded and the template for the normals is laid out. You can use the same template for the rest of his specials and supers (and his 6MK), and add the proper framedata from this page Vampire Savior Data - Talbain, yeah? You can also use Lei-Lei or Bishamon’s page if you need to copy/paste template stuff.

I get the red box is the hit-box for the attack but whats the diff between blue and green?

How come cross ups like BBH’s j.MK don’t have a red box in her rear?
The blue is where they can be hit.
The green is the space your character physically occupies.
Crossups dont have a hitbox in the rear, but they generally extend pretty far back, especially with respect to the green box. Take a look at moves like lil J.MK, Jedah j.HK
