But yeah, stop the bitchassness and keep playing. Let your character do the talking, not your (fairly outplaced) mouth.
On the subject of Victor, I do think that Victor can be scary…just not versus Q-Bee. In general, her good pokes (stand/crouch strong, low forward, low jab, low short) come out faster and have better recovery time than victor’s do. She can float jump to change her timing and the thing about GC’ing is…well…you have to know how to block first. And if you get someone who is good with Bee, then good luck with that. The most Vic can try to do is psychic down fierce or DP+K (TYGAH KNEE), but Q-Bee can still just chicken guard, then airdash afterwards. I think this matchup is a 7-3 for Bee. Easily.

Every time I’ve lost, I went back to the drawing board. Learning the matchups, the better normals, extended patterns, more mind game layers, tightening up my execution as much as possible on pad. Thats how you get good.

I just heard of GGPO yesterday and I must say its a rather amazing app. Anyhow I dont see to many people in the VampireSaviour room, Im not competetive in any way with any of the games on GGPO but they are fun…reminds me of being a kid again. However I do look forward to gettin better…My GGPO tag is ShabbySalami
so I want to start a VS regular tournament however, it will not be done like in the past. This tournament will take about a week and a half to do which is an estimation. What I want do is exactly similar to the MVC2 LOW TIER league.
We start the bracket off and players are given matches. Now, you have lets say 3-4 days per match to get done. So every 3-4 days, a new round starts. This lets many people enter the tournament w\o having to worry about being on for an all day tournament. Everyone can fit 10-15mins into their schedule can’t they? Not only will this allow more players to enter the game but it can beef up VS a good bit for the time being.
Finals will be recorded and put on youtube to promote the league. The major thing is getting all the regulars to participate. Newer players add\drop all the time. If the league is to last a bit, the regulars will need to be in regular attendance.

-if 1 player can’t get a hold of another, the player making the effort will not be dq-ed. Plz stay in touch with posts in the thread, PM’s or AIM.
-if 2 people can’t connect, I will have to flip a coin and send one person to losers. I know this isn’t really fair but we’re talking about online play here. Its not going to be perfect, so you can’t assume the rules to be so. In all fairness, this has only been done once in the mvc2 league and the league has been going on for a few months now. I’ll even try to make exceptions to the rules if possible to allow an alternate method to decide winner or loser.

it only takes a few mins to register for aim and the program itself is pretty small. What I want to do with AIM is give players a pipe line to each other instantly. So players can arrange a time as fast as possible and get their matches planned in advance. We’re all working around each other to make this work.
Once I have 10 people signed up, I will start the tournament.

Well, Demitri & Morrigan are the two main shotos of the game, but I’d say they require almost as much training as the other characters anyway. I think Jedah is one of the harder characters. If I were you I would go with the guy who looks most fun.

What he said. There really isn’t an easy mode character. All are rather complex, though some more then others. Give us an example of a character you enjoy playing in other games.

While I would agree that every character requires some complexity when you get to the top, I think you can go reeeaaally far with J.Talbain and Felicia before getting too advanced. And, when you’re ready to make the transition for “just learning/play for kicks” to “play for blood”, you’ll have had time to learn the basics, and if you want to stick with either character, both of them just happen to be some of the best characters in the game. Just prepare for some hate here and there if you play Talbain, though I doubt it’s as bad as when I was learning Talbain…
