I’ve actually been playing this game a little bit over the past couple weeks after discovering the awesomeness that is Kaillera. I’ll be checking out GGPO, though. Too bad I didn’t come across this thread earlier, or I would’ve been practicing for the tournament as well.

Hey guys for anyone in the midwest, we’re throwing a tournament in Cleveland on 6/18 and we’ll be having ARCADE Vampire Savior as one of our games. Come check us out.
Shoutouts to Mighty Mar blowing it up at UFGT with Anakaris. Nothing gets a tourney or stream more hyped than a “low tier” character beasting on people.
Goes to show, specialize in your game, know everything about it, you don’t have to give a fuck about tiers, you just beat everybody.
I cannot get GGPO to work for me. ROMs just won’t load. I wanna play some Vampire too curse it all.

And I think VS got some more fans just from that stream. It needs to start getting more appearances at majors.
I admit it, the tourney at UFGT (I watched it there in person) definitely got me interested in trying the game out. Just looking up stuff though, and apparently there’s a VS2? Is there a specific reason that VS1 seems to get played more? Just curious.
Glitches, balance issues, loss of throw invulnerability on wakeup/reversal, loss of midair chains, characters split across 2 games (Vampire Savior 2 and Vampire Hunter 2 are the exact same game aside from which characters are available; this is because the CPS2 system didn’t have enough memory to store them all at once)…
Watching the UFGT stream now. Loved the reactions when Floe landed Gerdenheim 3 and Mighty Mar landed curses.
Whoa. Why was I not watching this?
Anyway, I hope this generates some publicity for Darkstalkers. It needs it.

Because it was random? I honestly didn’t even know VS was having a tourney there until someone mentioned it on the stream. It was a pleasant surprise.
I’ll turn this into a formal request. I can’t get GGPO to work for me, it refuses to read my ROMs. Any ideas?
