Because the developers spent all their work into balancing the game and making the actual gameplay the best it can be. They spent maybe 5 hours on the online set up, and anime openings and endings.
At least thats what I think. With how bad the online set up is. Maybe championship mode will make it better. Also give Abel a dragon punch.
Abel doesn’t even need a dragon punch really, just a better hitbox/animation for Falling Sky. Maybe an overhand grab or something so it covers more than just the direct 45-degree angle over him.
My stick is at the top of the list now! But for whatever reason my artwork was off so Ed has to cut the top board by hand:

Had fun tonight testing out the Hauppauge PVR. Didn’t think anyone would show, but you Clones made it up and we had some great games. Never seen all three triplets in the same room together. . .it was pretty gay though. But seriously, thanks for travelling and helping me out with the Hauppauge; I’ll make sure to immortalize you on youtube.
Also, do you guys think I should wear the red SF4 bandana around my leg when I play? Chong li Chong li.

Shit, wish I’d read the forums yesterday.
So on the stick update: I need to 1. buy some socket wrenches (or just one, really) and 2. find a how-to-mod link or guide on the EX stick. It’s just an alignment issue, I’m confident. The insides aren’t broken, just need to be moved around.

I couldn’t love a human baby as much as I love Street Fighter 4.
I think Third Strike was sorta neat. It’s a skilled game. Daigo’s parry was really sweet, but I couldn’t get into it for a few reasons.
- I was too busy
- Arcade scene happen to die in Utah around this time.
- It wasn’t very exciting to me.
I dont want this to be a comparison thread, but SF4 brought back alot of old timers. This guy sums up third strike for me:

I’ll have to offer a contrasting stance on Third Strike. I think that it was the rightful pinnacle of 2D fighters at the time it was created, and its ever-abundant devout following is a testament to the fact that this game is a classic.
As far as SFIV goes, I think it runs the best engine and mechanics of any fighting game to date. And since it’s a Capcom Street Fighter, I don’t see a reason to expect anything less. I’d rate it a 9.5/10 easily. The only reason I wouldn’t give it a 10/10 is because I feel that the character graphics, although phenomenal, lack a bit of the “charm” that SF has always been known for.
But on to more important things:

Andy, those videos turned out great! I have them linked directly from the UTSF blog, and it functions well from there for anyone interested in checking that out. However, updates to the blog from YT are a little slow, partially because of the fact that the videos are HD. I guess YT is still refining that aspect of their streams.

To the guys up North… IS THERE ANY INTEREST WHATSOEVER FOR WEEKLY MEETS? I have PM’d a couple of you, and have yet to receive a response from anyone. Forgive me for being new to the area, but at least have the courtesy to give me a “no thanks” or a “fuck you”. We have met over at Wallace’s house on several occasions, all on different days of the week. So, if your schedule doesn’t jive with Saturdays, then that’s okay. We are willing to work something out so that everyone can get a chance to come to Ogden/Layton meets. Just let us know what would be good for you. If you’re simply not interested, just say so, and no one will get their feelings hurt. I know that it’s a long drive.
Just come down here to SLC again :party: I think we might have some casuals this weekend. Come down if you and Wallace don’t hear from the others.

For the record, I’d love to see weekly Logan/Ogden area meets (and I think Cache and Weber counties are pretty well off as a unified region, at least for the time being), although our options for a viable gathering place up here in Logan are limited unless Tony’s down for hosting.
