Yo I made a Silver account and Used Dana’s list added all the players on that everyone add Utah Fight Club you can check all the players online by checking the friend of friends I’m sure you all know how to do that.
So you only have to add this one account and you get the whole list of Utah SRK (assuming nobody declines) pretty smart huh too bad I mentioned it to Mr. MD about a year ago but I just ended up doing it so it would actually get done.
Brian get a xbox already people need to practice vs the champ if they want to beat you.

I won’t breakdown the tourney, that’s fucking Dana’s bitchass job, and the family man loves to do it and we love him. Give him props for writing that stuff up.
Anyways, I want to point out a few things:
Thanks guys for coming, I know we had a last minute change of venue, but you guys still showed up and supported the first Ranbat for SF4. 20 ppl showed up, 16 competed.
I know I know, we’ll change up the formats a bit next time. I just wanted to let ppl get some matches in and warm up with the pools. We probably won’t do pools again like that or at all, but we’ll address it closer to the next ranbat.
I will have the Hauppauge recorder next time. Records in HD, should be tight. Kelly will probably do some dry runs w/ it this week hopefully if time permits.
Thanks Wade for selling your sticks and not making shit off alot of them. I know you could easily earn more money on EBAY but you’re supporting the scene by giving ppl a fair chance to buy sticks at a reasonable price. Mad props. Bobby/Johnny thanks for luggng your huge ass lcd and xboxes and sticks for us. You guys are truly charitable

Remember, these ranbats are suppose to be for fun, but they are also opportunities to COMPETE. I DO NOT WANT to see a top 3 ALWAYS consisting of Guile, Sagat and Gief as much as I love Brian, Andrew, and Jacob. Let’s see the Boxer or Army of Blankas or Sim or Shotos push themselves into the top 3 at our next ranbat. Videos, training mode, casuals are what’s gonna get us better. I’ve done alot better since Kelly went over a few things w/ me and put the fucking beat down on my face w/ his Rog. . .once you go black. . .
I was thinking about the 5 dollar entry fee…and you know something…it’s not that fucking much, it’s like saving 50 cents a day. If you are in a bind, then I’m sure any of us will spot you. We just want to see ppl there.
Again props to everyone who came however shoutouts to the guys who got this started at the get go: Dana, Bleyls, Nate: You guys have updated info, called ppl, had gatherings at your house and took a big part into making this scene alive.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m fucking hype for Ranbat 1.2 in 2 weeks. I just want to get better at this game. Hopefully Kyle, Quang, Chase, “Inverse,” John Bleyl and all others who couldn’t or wouldn’t attend will be there. Just to let you know, Utahnoobs (Bobby/Johnny) will have some awesome things for our next ranbat such as multiple projector screens and differrent, larger venues.

I would have loved to have gone yesterday, but I forgot to recheck the thread and assumed the damn PlaynTrade tourny was still up. What a waste of a trip that was. 
When is the next one going to be, and you guys really cool with a total stranger just showin’ up? If you guys ever need me to bring a 360 or whatever let me know too, I can easily do that.

I don’t think anyone minds a total stranger. Just a couple of weeks ago, I was a complete stranger to everybody here (still am to some). I had no problems inviting myself to a meet, and so far, everyone has been really awesome.
If you are serious about competing then $5 is a very small price to pay. If we were meeting at an arcade, we would be paying to play (at least 50 cents a game) and buying food/drinks which would end up being WAY more than five bucks.

Elvis Inverse came to us from our very own SRK. He lives in Park City, serves his country in the Reserves and will soon understand that there are no strangers in SF once he comes out to a gathering. Jose and TL came to Ranbat 1.1 as first-timers to our group. Jose came with TeamUtahNoobs, and TL had already known many people from the group at different times, so there wasnt anything too unfamiliar about the experience for either of them. Except the level of ownage. TL actually owns ST and Neo-Geo cabs like Kyle underrealm; you cant fake dedication like that. Good to have you guys.

Ranbat 1.1 Blankamania!
8 hours, $80, and enough Horis, TEs, SEs, custom sticks, and FightPads to start your own online joystick business and you have yourself the first Utah Ranbat for SF4. Held on Saturday, April 11, from 1-9 pm at the house of Andy hadouken82, 19 people came to commiserate and compete for money, ranking points, and a little bit of fun. Brian ended up holding off a furious rush from Andrew awalk002, going 1-0, losing the second set of 5, and going aggressive Guile corner rushdown on Sagat to stay on top. Jacob uglyduckling earned 3rd for his smothering Zangief play, with Kelly Konqrr placing 4th with some well-executed Boxer and two of the four Blankas, Mike and Dana, squeezing in at 5th and 6th. The first three spots earned $35, $15, and $5 for their efforts, with the remaining $20 going into the Ranbat pool to be awarded at the end of the season the week before Evo in July.
The finals between Brian and Andrew captured the attention of everyone in the room that night. Brian went up a close 1-0 with some stingy Guile play, then Andrew roared back with his Sagat. At one point, Brian thought that he had the round wrapped up, daring Andrew to lay down some suppressing Tiger fire while Brian turtled at the opposite corner. Taunting Sagat to throw Tiger shots is like daring Daigo to parry Chuns SA2. It didnt end well for Brian that round (he ended up winning it all anyway) but it had to be the funniest moment that night.
Other items of interest: the Ann Landers advice-giving during the tournament, helping underdogs and the heavily-favored alike. I guess were all just friends. There was too much hot and steamy Blanka-on-Blanka action as well4 people!!! New faces from up north (Kyle underrealm and Wallace THE_WALL) came and left early, but they got to meet everyone and get in some casual play. Way to make the trip guys; please come again. Also, I was personally impressed with how people chipped in to help clean up Andys place. We all came, we played, we ate his pizza, used his sticks and TVs and couches and house, and we helped put his place together again. Stay classy, players. Very nice.
Dont forget, Ranbat 1.2 happens in 2 weeks, so keep up in the Utah thread for updates as they happen. And practice, practice, practice! Everyone but you, Brian.

We didn’t talk about EVO, most of the talks were about how we wanted to run the ranbats and dissing on Brian’s sexual preference (animals).
We’ll talk about EVO at the next ranbat most likely. You will most likely need to get a hold of one of the members who know you personally that is going to EVO to talk about specific details because I don’t really know you personally myself.
