I think Hugo will have some near unwinnable matchups, but he’s not the worst character in the game.

I’m fine with Sagat getting nerfed as long as said nerfs dont hurt or take away his gameplan.
When I look at him idk what he is supposed to be. I cant say hes the zoning king nor can I call him a footsies monster. Hes in some wierd middle ground, where he isn’t very effective at either.

You’re insane if you’re “boycotting” buying Ultra because of balance changes you don’t agree with. Now if you are simply “not buying / playing the game because you have no interest in it and believe you wouldn’t find it enjoyable” that is different from a boycott.
Save your “boycott” for game companies that actually deserve it. Like ones that show underhanded business practices, poor work environments, and intentional douchebaggery on a large scale. Like EA or Activision or more recently “King” (makers of Candy crush who tried to trade mark “Candy”)
There is still Edition Select. I mean, Sagat needs only 2 bars, then his opponents can´t fuck up his face anymore. Also what´s the problem, if Sagat has a bad matchup btw? Ibuki has also great footsies btw.
If you talk about Sagat, well then you should look at the JP Arcade Rankings and also think about the game mechanics of USF4.
People still underestimate Makoto, well well 
Capcom DOES have shady business practices and yeah clearly I’m not getting it because i wouldnt find it enjoyable. If you think im upset because Sagat has a bad match then you arent paying attention to the context in which im talking about it.
None of his bad matches from AE are noticably better. Fei and Gouki are better but they still win. Juri and Dudley who were his hard counters, are now super saiyans. He has the same disadvantage matches and gained more. Am I supposed to be elated about this update.
What does the JPN arcade game have to do with a diff game on console release. The only correlation I can think of is Sagat being good in that game, so Capcom using that to justify nerfs in the console update.
Then you look at Dudley and that logic falls flat.
BTW Combofiend wrote a e-mail response to a Sagat player, basicaloy admitting that Capcom did miss the mark with Sagat.

All these Sagat players complaint about Dudley in this thread. Why complain about a (rumored by) Bonchan 3-7 match up getting worse? Stick to version eslect tournaments or pick up an alt that beats Dudley convincingly.
Dudleys top 15 in high tier. He’s good but you have to learn his matchups, and that’s always what keeps a charcter from being top tier(in America).
Why can Fei Long link into close fierce from crouch short, and why is his crouch strong +25 on block?
There’s like 40 characters now. Capcom don’t got time for that. Time to pick up a good character like T.Hawk.
Surprised you’re still even playing this game after all of this time. I took a long break after Marvel came out, but it seems people still love this shit so much so I guess I’ll find a character and get back in just to stay practiced in it.

Connections really seem worse than 2012, i’m only joining green bar lobbies but there’s noticeable delay 
also someone tell me i’m not going crazy because the game definitely feels slightly different to 2012 to me, kinda like how vanilla > super felt different.
Yeah the netcode is clearly worse than its ever been. I struggle at getting basic moves out all of a sudden. I can’t even throw kikoken half the time.
I still don’t have a copy of this game, I don’t think I want to either. I’ve seen the lag. I hated AE2012 and that wasn’t even that bad…
I thought this was mostly just me. I’ll land jumpins and just not have my followups come out, hit focus and just stand around and try to dash out of focus and just let it rip. :C

I am feeling really weird with the new netcode. I hit normal links way better now, but struggle with getting things post Karakusa, especially Ultra. It’s baffling.
Most of my matches have been smooth actually, but I do have pretty fast internet. The few matches I do have lag in, I see the reconnecting window every few seconds which is awful and has cost me games. I think the matches I get lag in are due to NAT issues or distance related, but I’m just guessing.
Akuma Yun sucks really bad in this version. I might be getting ready to call it 7-3
