whatever…Lol and Dota 2 and WoW…and SC2 has tons of money…the players choose top tiers to win, the SF4 players said not enough but they fly places etc. None play cammy…is one team EG playing Cammy but meh…rufus has much better matches…rufus does well vs graplers and everyone. The EX nerfed killed her as was obvious from the last 3 majors.

idk common sense is not common. There is zero proof she is good, but tons of proof akuma is good but no one believes? like the other games people gravitate to high tiers. I watched diago swap characters 3 times since sf4 launched. high tier, yet none play cammy. yet she is sooo strong? gtfo.

Saying that means lol, dota, wow, RTS, and other players are much better than FGC because the players do not care.

Dude I honestly can’t understand wtf you’re saying. It’s like random shit and the occasional cammy is bad. First off do you not play the game, because most of what you say makes me think you don’t? And wtf her EX Dive kick isn’t unsafe when spaced properly and can be up to +10 on block. The character you must play must be amazing if that’s not good enough for you. And dude you’re a fucking dumb ass tier list determine character advantages vs another character’s advantage, but not the player vs player strengths. Name 1 reason why Cammy’s character is not strong.

You know, since becoming a mod I have to say there are times on the SRK forum where reading post is twice as annoying. Because I have these nice shiny buttons that say “ban” and “edit” that you really wish you could use, but sadly I have to settle for this button that says “WTF!” instead.

TBH my theory is most people here are 5-700pp who never crouch block? Read up on china Cammy’s explanation of his fights in japan. Was very even before nerfs due to how pros play…footsies. There is one low cammy in top 100 arcade…None play her.

if you wanted a fraud tier list rubber stamped from japan…then you are in luck. Her EX is never +10 on block it got nerfed bad compared to how players use it.

EX CS can be +9F (was +14 got 5F less blockstun). You can basically aim anywhere below shoulders and be + and it still can be done from a back jump and it still has a hitbox that beats or trades with almost all anti airs that aren’t invincible DPs.

Her damage is low?
sMP - crHP - crMK - MK Spiral still does 272 damage as a meterless combo that doesn’t require a jump in or counterhit.

Okay here are Cammy’s merits. Amazing frame advantage, great meterless damage, amazing dive kick that is ridiculously advantageous, great normals, excellent walkspeed, amazing set ups off of backthrow, DP with a great hitbox, relatively simple game plan that is very effective and a divekick that destroys crouch techs.

Cons no overhead. That’s it.

And once again I reiterate you’re dumb as hell dude, how on earth is street fighter remotely similar to freaking PvP games like Dota in execution? Why would you even compare the two? You’re crazy for not thinking Cammy is top tier just because there aren’t many players, and hell I guess Ryu is SSSSSSS tier since he is one of the most played characters, and I guess V.Sagat was trash since he didn’t win many (if any) major tourneys. I mean just off of her frame traps and dive kick alone she is top tier, then throw in her damage and her 4 frame cl.hp that is +2 and beats cross ups walk speed plus her walk speed?

I mean how do you don’t even know that EX CS is + on block 9 times out of 10 unless your opponent uses it incorrectly? Jesus man - play the game.

Daigo is completely right about there being too many counters to Ryu’s fireball in this game. But like Momochi I also don’t think Capcom targeted Ryu specifically. The problem is that in many matchups he has no options to fall back on once his fireball game is shut down, unlike Evil Ryu whose ground game and burst damage can cover him. To make matters worse, many characters’ anti fb options were buffed, and in some cases new anti fb moves were added. Dictator can basically just down back you all day and punish fireballs with ex SK (this is how TUC dictator beat me. Hooray for time over every round!) T.Hawk may even be a bad match now because of his buffs. He can react to fireballs with EX Condor, and the best part is you’re probably better off getting hit by it than blocking. Rose can react with EX SS. Dudley’s U1 hits from nearly full screen now. EX Q bomb is all kinds of retarded. Decapre gets 10 years to react with U2. Rolento has U2. Etc etc

What really sucks is that in many matchups the game literally stops because all the opponent needs to do is wait for a fireball or a jump, which any sensible player will not do. Its just like Daigo said - trying to attack is like walking toward someone who has a cross bow pointed at your head.

I believe it’s mainly that Ryu’s fireball forms the backbone of his game, but it’s just slow enough to be punished on reaction. Characters with slower fireballs have other tools (Sakura or Ken for instance) while faster fireball characters need a read to punish. Then again, there was that tournament a few months back where a Chun shlacked Ryan Hart by punishing his TS with U1 every single time, so I don’t fully agree with their analysis. Sagat is a bit of a special case though, as his LTS stops a lot of characters from trying to punish his fireballs as they only have upper body invincibility
