I already miss the times when Juri wasn’t a character we were worried about, even if she was already an issue in a specific match up, just because none played her.
Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like Juri is one of those really “good on paper” characters that never really performs in a major. Maybe as a secondary or counterpick, but never as a main.
But the fuck do I know? Game’s just been out a month.
Most (competent) players have realized that the match has been AT LEAST 6.5-3.5 (damn I hate using half scores for matchups) since Super. That was when Sagat was pretty bad, and Dudley was straight garbage.
Now we fast forward to Ultra, and Sagat is worse, while Dudley has gotten WAAYYY better since Super. Calling the match 7-3 at best is not a stretch whatsoever.
Oh, and if people think Smug is the reason why we call the matchup at least 7-3, then they knew nothing about the game in the first place.
Genkibot won one of the Australian Majors with her. Say what you like about the competition but she’s been underrated for a long time. There’s still even now a definite unknown factor about her.
She’s very polyvalent and doesn’t have many bad MUs anymore. She also has a few 7-3 going for her

Last 3 majors was cammy getting owned in pools…even the china player, best in world.

compare to akuma, boxer,yun, and for real good characters and the list is wrong. We have 3 data points now and minors like wnf/TS sabbin. so zero evidence that cammy is good? yet she is good?

her damage is low now and stun is low AND EX DK unsafe is huge as that was the bulk of the damage for the last 3 years. dead with facts rather than worshiping Japan who has no cammy players…if cammy was strong…would be all over the boards, the majors, minors, etc. yun has 2x times beating another player…over head, better footsie, safter attacks, better dive kicke, command throw…better punishm more damage/stun.

Did you see what Xiaohai was doing once he got in? She is obviously still very dangerous, and it took Dieminion to play with everything he had AND for Xiaohai to start playing recklessly in order for him to get the win.
Just because the character loses in a few tournaments doesn’t mean the character isn’t good.
yeah 2/3 sets or results from smaller regional tourneys featuring EG, dont determine character strength.
the exception is when you see the same character coming from all angles the way ae2012 cammy ran a thru things for that block of about 6-8 months from like 5 different players.
another thing is that you wont see a weak character into top 8 of a tourney like evo outside of counterpicks, but just because a character doesnt get there doesnt make them automatically weak either
evo is super stacked. just because a character loses a single 2/3 doesnt mean much

I use logic you do not…you use 300 pp results to determine tier list like most I guess. 3 years ago? none have shown cammy to be strong so is just junk against white girls…she got nerfed A LOT. we are at end of 3 majors and she has been getting owned.
