I was expecting more Evil Ryu along with all of the Akuma. I am currently quite shocked at how the top 8 is looking like it’s gonna be, pretty varied.

Elena is S Tier
I’m real happy for Gamerbee he finally beat his demon. Also that ending to the Rog-Kazunoko match.
Daigo vs Gamerbee was great. Total momentum shift and great work from Gamerbee to turn it around and come out with the victory.
I’m really surprised by the sheer amount of Elena in this tournament. She’s come a long way from the start of Ultra where many declared her a bottom five character. I really think this year cements the fact she isn’t and may actually be up there.
Tough outing for the Euro players I believe Phenom was the only one to get the farthest. I know in his last match they had Australia on his name I think that was a mistake since earlier they had Norway and that’s what it shows on the brackets.
Snake just can’t beat Daigo, I think this is the 2nd EVO he’s eliminated him from, and outside of that he always loses to him anyway. I think Snake needs another breakthrough and some new tech to be at the top again, since Gief isn’t as good as he used to be.
Tough luck for Daigo. I didn’t have him in my top 8, but I surely didn’t think Gamerbee of all people would be the one to eliminate him. Is Infil now tied for most top 8s at 5?
Elena is annoying tier if nothing else.
