There’s usually only a single post for every tournament in this thread, always about the grand finals.
That’s the problem. This Japanese tournament had a ton of players I’m sure most people here have never heard of. Admittedly there were a number of players that even I haven’t heard of that placed well and were very good. These players need to be researched because any one of them can walk into a major and win (whether it’s Japanese, US or European).
I wonder when Emil realizes that he’s deluded and detached from reality and that people actually know Japanese players.
Except that they don’t. A lot of people here do not. If you go to a forum like gamefaqs or eventhubs, it is even worse. If you read the stream chats, it is far far worse.
It’s not even just about SF4, it also applies to kof13 and other games. Just abysmal ignorance about the scene.
> Taking stream chats, eventhubs, or gamefaqs seriously
Language barrier a thing for you? If you can´t understand the Japanese language, then getting information from becomes a bit harder.
At least 70% of the people who post in this forum regularly know a majority of the Japanese players. It’s not 2002 anymore where the internet isn’t that big, we now have Youtube where almost every Japanese player has footage of them playing. If they don’t know a lot of good Japanese players, then they are most likely just being willfully ignorant as all of the information is clearly and easily available.
This forum reveling in ignorance? NAH THEYARE ALL EVOLVING INTO PRO PLAYERS WITH NO SCRUBBY OPINIONS AND IMPECCABLE KNOWLEDGE.
I lol’d at the guy who put Honda above Abel and Seth in his tier list. I know tier lists are opinionated, but come the fuck on you just look ignorant with that type of placement.
I was hype for the canada cup tournament, but it’s really going to be pay per view?
the first day is free, but the rest are ppv yeah
So, when does the canada cup stream start?
It’s on now.
All the mindfucks of an open tournament in the early rounds
Ugh poison
Rofl what a joke the ultra characters are
Kazunoko vs Snake Eyez was a great set. The mindgames and baits were ridiculous, everytime kazunoko neutral jumped, it was a puzzle like Snake said.
Probably easiest mixup in the game by simply holding up but whatever. Did not think Kazunoko would win.
Btw, i’m rooting for Kazunoko to take it all.
Everytime Snakeyez hit Kazunoko with EX GH RFA; Kazunoko was already standing.
Once I saw Kazunoko backdash after getting hit with LP GH and get away with it multiple times because of the LP GH nerf…I knew he was going to win lol
Kazunoko had all the right nuttiness. I was expecting a blowup like Pepedey vs Xiaohai after a while, but Snake made it a close set.
That’s a pretty nonsensical thing for Snakeyez to say…that Kazunoko is random and a lot of his stuff he doesn’t agree with. I don’t think he understands the level of reads that Kazunoko has.
After playing Kazunoko today in GG Xrd in grand finals I can confirm Emil’s assumptions. The guy just adapts very quickly and is incredible at reading your patterns, even when you’re actively trying to change things up. I saw the same sort of things happening in this set.
