Well, while I think Snake Eyez should’ve beat Luffy if he didn’t give up that first round with those random greenhands, I’m kinda glad that he lost in a way.
If Snake Eyez would’ve beat Luffy, there’s no way he would’ve ran it back with Fuudo and then beat the best Sagat in the world 6 times.
Congrats to Luffy though, I’m just not looking forward to the “land of the free” comments that are going to come up after this.

Evo 2014 was okay, just wasn’t feeling it this year, i think we could have had way more viewers if the world cup grand finals wasn’t happening this EVO weekend.
Best parts were BlazBlue CP top 8, Justin Wong finally getting that victory after coming so close last year, and someone else besides the Japanese winning street fighter.
The announcement from Harada was NOTHING about TxSF, it’s like the game doesn’t even exist, it’s been this way for about a year and a half now, NO INFORMATION. Then Ono’s announcement was just aggravating, we wait practically a YEAR for a 15 dollar update, he comes up on stage with everyone expecting some big new FG news, and all we get is a reminder for the damn steam edition of Ultra (that we could barely understand), and “stay tuned” for more fighting game news. Bonchan, Luffy, Snake eyes, and surprisingly Ricky Ortiz put on a show this year! 
Evo had almost 500k during finals (including twitch + ign + nico) which is almost double of last year. thats insane

The immediate switches from attack to defense and vice versa where really something ive never seen before from a rose player. It was executed beautifully!
Was going for Bonchan to win but that Rose play from Luffy was amazing to watch.
Best highlight for me was the BBCP top 8 and especially grand finals. One of the best GF ever at EVO imo. The love and passion those guys have for the game was inspirational.
