Druseph has a good Honda, nice played. He should go to more tournaments.

Wao (Oni) vs Mago (Fei) from Topanga B league

so im obviously super mindblown at infilration’s oni choice and proficiency, and i still have grand finals to watch from the korea qualifier but… Hoodaman honda? iv never had so much fun watching him. i know he is eventually gonna lose but im “rooting for him even though the tourneys over” as I watch it. Does he consistently go yo tourneys? or am i just ignorant?

All i know is Who Da man? Hoodaman

Damn, Infiltration’s Oni is something. I’ve never seen someone hit so many supers in a set. Some really cool uses of the air dash too in grand finals vs Momochi.

He’s from NorCal, IIRC.

Hoodaman was the most unexpected surprise for that tourney, after Infiltration with his Oni

Obviously Oni is too powerful. Nerf him.

Do only the grand finals winners qualify for Capcom Cup?
If so that would be sad.

Also will Daigo not be in the Capcom Cup cuz he didn’t win anything or are there direct invites to the tournament?

Read this.

He is one of the best Honda players, some say maybe even better than Mike Ross. Unfortunatelly he is not sponsored and doesn’t travel much, so he doesn’t attend many tourneys. But when he does, he makes an impact. He won Hadokon IV (beating PR Rog among others), Won another local tourney (T13 ?) where he beat PR again, and won the GF against Ricky Ortiz, coming form losers !!
Finnished top 8 at Socal 2013 and Lillehammer. He also did well at Evo (unfortunatelly he ran into tough matches).

I’m glad you liked his Honda. I thought people find Honda boring, and with Zhi’s commentary…

Might interest you, he(Hoodaman) had this day, a longer set vs Infiltration´s Oni:

But it seems like, it is in the first part of the video, in the first hour, then someone else plays TTT2

Emanualb if u want to check out this long set of Infiltration (Oni) vs Hoodaman (Honda). We were discussing this matchup a while back. Hoodaman was not unfamiliar with the matchup he seemed well aware of Oni’s tricks and tools. Obviously Infiltration knows Honda well. So both knowledgeable players, so no surprise factor, both top players and in long set (15 matches!) Infiltration came out on top 11-4.

I notice Infiltration besides looking like an Oni specialist he is constantly trying out new things and combos in matches rather than just going for the conventional stuff that most Oni players know.

Thanks a lot.
So just making sure that I got it right…

There’s already 6 people that qualified due to their 1st place finishers at several tournaments which are:
Alioune
Tokido
Haitani
ChrisG
Sakonoko
Xian

The last 2 will be the grand finalists of the Asia qualifier.
The 2 people that have qualified for the Asia qualifier through the Korean tournament so far are:
Momochi and Infiltration, right?

So there’s 2 more regionals in order to qualify for the Asia Capcom Cup qualifiers and I guess it’s not clear yet if Daigo will attend to it, right?

Concerning the qualifiers, you are right, just Daigo will do this soon:

  • 3rd TOPANGA League [November 2 - December 8]
  • Book event at Amazon Japan [November 6]
  • DreamHack Winter 2013 [November 30]

    So no Daigo.

EDIT: Uryo didn’t win GG but just had a really good run to loosers finals, always remember it as him winning it lol.

This game still surprises me sometimes. I really thought even the top level players had plateaued late last year and that the game had been figured out more or less, but now we’re seeing matchups like Oni vs Juri in the Grand Finals. Good shit.

I’m deff interested. Gonna check it out. Thanks Oil, for posting it.

VirtualDojo Vienna streaming again:

RB is a phenomenal Guy but he is very different from Marq Teddy and FloE. Marq uses pressure and FloE uses mixups and this guy is just fast fast fast reflexes and responses, even though he has very weak pressure which is odd for a Guy player

So many great players that lack sponsorship.
It’s really sad because if you look at LoL or Dota you see all kinds of trashcans being sponsored and playing full time.
