Well certainly if u r at a big disadvantage in terms of skill and game knowledge, being very unpredictable and somewhat random would increase ur chances a lot.

i play streets once a week if i’m lucky. 2 jobs, 4 bands, and it’s more fun to play the game less often, it’s always more fresh. The nostalgia from sf4 has reached overpowering levels. If for some reason SF4 died, and all discs stopped working forever, I would mourn like I lost a close friend or relative. But, like a close friend or relative, you don’t hang around with them all the time. You come around once in a while and you are both happy to see each other. I am pretty sure Vega enjoys being controlled by me as much as I enjoy controlling him. Unless I’m fighting the top players. Cause then Vega gets shiiiiit onnnnn

Whatever dude, I’m a better drummer than street fighter play anyway and I enjoy drumming often more. My free time is reserved for drums. Street fighter is a good tool to interact with my CCG homeys. That is what brought us together after all. Winning at street fighter is much less important to me than playing Bega kun. I never STARTED playing the game with the idea of being the best… street fighter 4 was my very first street fighter, unless you count CVS2. i like fighting games, always have, but vega and i clicked in a manner that the scribes of old would write epic stories about. it’s a union to behold. it is just fun to play vega. more fun than picking adon and winning. i can guarantee that.

as far as spending money and time on a hobby, i’ve been in the net + for a long time now. Paid a lot of rent cheques with sf4 winnings. Made 100s of friends, have tons of memories… Dude, if it weren’t for street fighter I wouldn’t have the opportunity to travel across Canada like I’ve been doing the last year, and last night I saw 100 jagerbombs on the bar at once… so don’t worry about me and my character choices, it’s vega for life, and being jozhear right now is not so bad, i keep my head low, i don’t like the attention that comes with being a top street fighter player, and i would much rather be the world’s best drummer than best street fighter player. I don’t have XBL hooked up right now, I don’t think I even have a copy of the game that’s updated, and living in my own house with my roommates and having my own drumset here and sustaining this lifestyle is definitely my priority, not playing a game all the time like I used to. It was very fun, and a fulfilling experience for me at that time, but ive changed and so has everyone else in the world. Well… almost everyone. Not some.

I wish somebody would upload the Topanga B League stuff.
I checked the stream and could only watch 2 matches for each day and after that the stream just died.

Is Topanga pay per view shit?

Hey guys, just a head’s up, there will be a major next week in Mexico (Guadalajara, Jalisco, to be precise). Chris G, FChamp and Mike Ross (and Angelic and Neo for Marvel) will be here, along with pretty much all the mexican top players (TLC Master, Gama, Chris, Excelancer, Eightgrade, Rasec, GordoRLZ, etc…(and in Marvel Frutsy, Pony, Taekua, Karter, etc…)). I will most likely post the link here for you guys to check it out.

Yeah…nah, pretty much everyone wants more mexicans to show up to tournaments, so most of the commentary will be in Spanish. I imagine that they will talk in english sometimes and FChamp, Neo or Mike Ross could end up on the mic sometimes, but don’t expect it to be the rule.

Also Topanga has always been PPV.

I’m looking forward to this event, especially since Mike Ross is going. I’l also have a chance to practice my spanish skills, haha.

So, the tournament is not this weekned, it’s next week, right ? Same time as SS…so that means Mike isn’t going to SS…I’m sad…

I don’t think Mike has a real chance at the moment to do anything outstanding at a major with tight competition.
Pretty sure he masses Dota 2 games and doesn’t really practice SF4 a lot for a while now.
Would be a sad sight to be honest.

Hope he picks up the game seriously again when Ultra comes out, though I doubt it since he has different priorities.

He said he’s barely playing SF and playing lots of Dota on the UltraChen stream couple of weeks ago (I think it was the tuesday show).

I coupled that with some of his statements in his documentary and made an educated guess.

wao is very likely one of the best street fighter players in the world right now, hes straight up murdering everyone who comes in his way. guess a guy whos fundementals are as good as his can make any character work.

Can’t say i’ve played a decent Oni to this day, definitely less popular than Evil Ryu. But you have Chris Hu, overmostheads and Wao that rep him at a high level.
