You know, Justin Wong did a tier list and Vega was in the bottom 5 or so. I think characters really are important, and people who dont believe in tiers and choose bad characters just arent going to win tournaments. How many Vega’s win tournaments? He needs to get a better character to better utilize his talent and get better.

first of all american tier lists are extremely inaccurate. vega is not being played to his potential right now by people whom we have access to in the form of videos etc. makoto, about a year back went on a 45 win streak with vega at cats eye and placed top 8 at shadowloo showdown in the first year of arcade edition when everyone was using yun/yang, reiketsu beat some 20 odd people to place second in the last couple of yubiken tournaments.

Maybe some US top players need to go to Japan and play with all the guys at Gods Garden and other arcades. Somehow get the arcades to accept cameras being used and set it up as a exhibition/clinic to learn all the Japanese players tactics and tricks by documenting it. Yeah, a lot may not want to do it, but I think the Japanese players know if there can be better players out here in America then theyll be challenged more when they come here and get even better. We just got to cross breed so to speak and level everyone up.
