This was EASILY the best Evo by far, most of the matches were Grand freaking Final material, upsets and hype Everywhere!!!
Felt pretty bad for Laugh/Infiltration though, definitely breaking up tonight lol
Can’t wait for finals, I’m rooting for Daigo and Tokido, but definitely would be happy if Sako or Haitani won as well.

Wtf was up with the Laugh Infiltration match. That was probably the most emotionally intense match I’ve ever seen, but not in a good way. There’s some definite beef there, it’s like they hate each other. Perhaps Infiltration infiltrated Laugh’s mum, which is certainly no laughing matter. I’m sorry that was just…yeah.

AE was just plain vicious this year. So much fierce competition and so many people getting knocked the fuck out in hilarious fashion. Nobody was playing around and everyone was out for blood. Very much looking forward to top 8.
Yeah no Gamerbee. For me everyone is good, but since we always see Infiltration and Daigo finals I’d rather it not be them. Xian has had some success lately, wouldn’t mind him. Murderface would be okay, I don’t know when he last won something. Now Sako, I’m a huge fan and tired of people saying he sux at EVO, or chokes or whatever…so him winning would be really cool. However, I’m most rooting for a Haitani vs PR Rog final. That Makoto is crazy awesome, and PR Rog…US representation, either Makoto or Rog winning would be a breath of fresh air and may inspire more people to pick up those characters.
It’s because they DON’T hate each other that it was so awkward.
It seemed like they were just outright pissed off at the situation in general, not so much each other. Who wouldn’t be royally pissed off in that situation? But I doubt either of them expected Infiltration to be sent to losers in the first place.

This has definitely been the best day 1 in ssf4 EVO history. So many of the best players in the world turned up and generally everyone was playing at least quite well. Honestly I think at least 15 separate players have the ability to win it all, whereas in previous years it was always only just a handful. There are so many good players now it’s scary.
why would they be annoyed with the situation? You can’t dodge playing someone forever and coming face to face with people from your own country is just part of the nature of tournaments the further along you get. it looked to me like laugh very much had a problem with infiltration and commentators even mentioned that laugh was no longer in infiltrations corner anymore earlier on.
But “nobody” plays SF4 anymore. Right?
