Really? I must’ve misheard then. Disregard me then.
In all honesty though we should be worshiping the man. Nobody in the community does more for us.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Cody has a slight advantage against Rufus actually… I don’t think it’s any worse than 5-5. It can just go south in a bit of a hurry… for both characters, really, it’s just easier to remember Cody losing to dive kicks than it is Rufus losing to two frame traps. Anyway this isn’t really the thread to discuss the matchup.
Was a little upset to hear James Chen talk about how Chi-rithy got a bad draw in losers bracket vs… Honda? And how he would have chosen any other player in losers to fight against (Ricky, PR Rog, Daigo, Mago, Gamerbee, etc) and how unlucky he was to fight Mike Ross because “I hate the Honda match”? What is this match, 5-5 or close to it? This is right after Daigo prevailed vs Mago in a more difficult matchup than whatever Cammy/Honda is. Then he goes on to say that he actually doesn’t know any unblockables for Cammy. Okay then… why are you trying to debate the merits of your character when you aren’t maximizing her? Just irritates me, that’s all.
You crying… Need a hug?
Edit: they should have removed Chen once a Cammy player got on he made it sound like the matches were really more difficult than what they were.

America has finally proven they can stand toe to toe with the international scene. Time to dispel that “Japan’s naturally better than us” attitude.
I ain’t crying yet. If I can avoid crying about my dad being dead on Father’s Day this ain’t gonna break me that bad, lol.
EDIT: Nah man, the Japanese players were just having an off day, Daigo wasn’t feeling it, insert other bullshit excuse here.
Sorry for your loss.

Since when Justin becomed a monster and now he’s a serious candidate to win it all on EVO 2012?..
Mike Ross is probably the scariest player in the world to fight if you’re someone who relies too heavily on adhering to a “textbook” style of play. It’s because of his unpredictable nature that he’s able to win matches that otherwise seem pretty hopeless for Honda. I honestly just felt so sorry for Arturo when he lost to Mike. I mean, Art knows the matchup very well, but that all goes out the window when your opponent refuses to play by the book in the first place.
When wasn’t he?
That book only exists when you can prove its rules are usually right. Mike makes you prove it every match.
He wasn’t a candidate when he got the “character crisis” on Marvel, up until he found his sweet spot now… And he didn’t put that much time on AE because of the Marvel problem… Now he’s on point and ready to be the “John Cena” of EVO…
And when you do prove it, he can look pretty silly (like vs Mago).
James Chen should just stop commentating…ugh
I didn’t watch the match, i was busy getting hype for his entrance to the ring

With this, I think that Fuudo/Kazunoko/Poongko are top at the moment…
shadowloo showdown proved otherwise. fuudo was beat by dakou twice and poongko never made it top 8. right now, there just isn’t a clear winner - interesting times for a street fighter fan
I guess so. I simply think that these players are the most “skilled” however. It’s great that the competition has leveled up to the point where no one can really “topple” over everybody else now haha. Each of these players have their specific style which I find amazing: Fuudo’s insane footsies and reactions, Kazunoko’s reads and oki, and Poongko’s deadly rushdown. Maybe It’s just a preference haha.
Hell yes mate. EVO is going to be a treat for spectators who can’t make it. Hats off to those involved with EVO’s forthcoming stream and of course the mighty Lord Spooky. I can’t begin to say how much I appreciate having the ability to watch streamed majors (Australia here) combined with the fantastic quality behind USA’s streams.
I’ve always maintained that live streams definitely bridge the international gap for the community and the USA really sets the bar here.
CEO was an awesome watch and a fine precursor to the forthcoming EVO. This year is going to be a monster and I can’t fucking wait to see so many monsters duke it out in what looks to be a very close competition (IV). Finals are on Monday for us and I’ve taken the day off to tune (click?) in.
Hell, I don’t even play Marvel but watching it at a high level is entertaining as all hell too
