I’m sayin’ though…when it isn’t fucking up…its either close to GFWL when IT isn’t fucking up…or it’s near offline…I had someone say…is the game moving too fast…in my mind i was like no thats how its suppose to be
first time playing since the day after the patch and i’ve noticed a lot of laggy moments during matchmaking for Ranked and Endless. it will load the names and bars and sometimes just freeze. inputs don’t work so you have to wait a few seconds and then all the bars have changed and you can choose, usually resulting in “can’t join session” or some shit like that. is that normal for anybody else?
Windows XP remains the OS of choice for USF4. It feels more responsive
Once game crashed due to a protection fault during an online match and I lost 200 PP and BP as penalty…
3 times in endless I got a Steam disconnection error, though Steam client was online.
But these are the only complaints
In Europe connections are a little worse than GFWL, which suffices.
though when I enable Fighting Request in training mode, there wasnt any online challenge. Only in arcade mode. Tried it only once though.
But on PC the level of players has risen significantly compared to 3 years ago, in the lower levels at least. Beginners will have an even more difficult time.
I play USF4 on PC, haven’t had any issues besides the usual lag when I play people from the other side of the world, besides that its mostly smooth.
There’s something that’s been bugging me tho, I’ve gotten my first fight stick 3weeks ago and I know it takes a while to transition from pad to fightstick, anyways I’m not able to cancell special out normals once with the fightstick:S, I can connect the entire chain/link with normals, but when the special needs to come out its always late even if I do it as fast as I can. Does the PC version of USF4 have a input lag for sticks or something?
Using the bigbenz q4 arcade stick atm. I bought marvel last week aswell and the inputs in there are going very smooth compared to SF4.
i have but i guess i missed it. what i noticed was that it takes a bunch of refreshes to get a lobby to pop up in Endless and others also commented. my last post was that now they are showing up in Endless but everything just hangs and you can’t select or move for a few seconds or more and then by the time you select the one with the best bars it’s gone.
I have the game on all three platforms. I wish I would have never gotten it on PS3. Seriously, the on-line is worse than the PC pre-patch. 360’s online is best, but at least PC is playable for me most of the time. I want a refund on PS3 copy :\
i’m getting used to it finally. that’s not a good thing btw, just that i’m winning a bit more because i’ve adjusted my playstyle to the atrocious lag and online lobbies where green bars don’t really mean anything. submit to shit netcode and you’ll start winning.
Europe player here, I haven’t been experiencing too many stutter/freeze issues. I had them a TON before the beta patch and 1.05 update, but they seem to have stopped now.
It may be because the distances between my opponents is much smaller compared to state-to-state connections and that can cause issues, but still I haven’t been having all of the issues stated in this thread.
I can’t understand how there are offline issues, I’m not saying there aren’t because this port is a steaming pile of dog shit, but I haven’t had any offline problems as of yet. Training mode whilst searching for an opponent still has freezing issues, and the connection bars still don’t properly show the connection quality of my opponent. But apart from that when I’m in a match it feels similar to GFWL standards, sometimes better.
This thread was dead for half a month, why bring it back? 90% of people gave up (like me) and the other 10% spend the rest of their days bothing Wbacon [Capcom] on his Steam comments.
You should try playing Smash Bros Melee on Dolphin emulator, you can get some pretty sick connections if you play with people in the same state, theirs always anime fighters too, this is the year of the anime fighter after all. (lots of them came out this year or still have yet to come out this year) Oh, and BlazBlue CS Extend is coming to Steam next month with online play, try that out! Chrono Phantasma seems inevitable for next year PC release.
because I’m making a joke bro.
oh I see. you aren’t one of the cool kids that hang out in the GD forums…that’s why you don’t get it.
B)
SRK is like a high school.
there’s the kids that hang out smoking in the parking lot after school…and then there’s everyone else that take the bus home immediately after the last bell rings.
