USF4-PC on Steam is SUPERB NOW? *GASP*

There seems to be no in between with most people. Either it’s really good or it’s totally unplayable and under water. Imo that’s not a good sign and it tells me they’re not even close to fixing the problems. Also why no updates or anything from Capcom?

P.S.
seems Dead Rising 3 is also having issues.
Capcom is also promising to “fix” it asap.

lol, oh-kay. (e_e)

But you will probably buy SF5 anyway, just like everyone else._.
Capcom could feed me dog shit, and i’d still eat it, cause it’s Capcom branded dog shit. O_O

It’s so crazy how people still care more about Capcom announcements at EVO, then they do anything else, despite everything they put us through.

My care factor dropped dramatically after I made the decision to not buy Ultra. Stop caring and the frustration goes away ^^

Is the Steam USF4 version lag & bugs effecting every single player or only part of the community? Because I was thinking of dropping my soon-to-expire Xbox Live account and going to PC, but I’ve been reading so many bad stories of the lag and bugs (which seems to be getting worse instead of better).

However, I still see some inviting each other for PC matches, and the USF4 modding community kind of active right now, so it makes me wonder if they are seeing these same problems and just overlooking them, or are they the fortunate few who haven’t run into Capcom’s bugginess just yet.

I would stick with Live just because it has the best competition by far. I wish I had an Xbox just for SF since most of the top players play on Live. PC used to have the best online play by far with GFWL but now it’s complete shit for the most part. I have no faith in Capcom to fix this but you may be more optimistic than me.

I agree, for the most part. People are still gonna buy. Is it wrong of Capcom to seemingly disregard the issues that are being presented by the community (especially those who are a part of the Beta fix)? Fuck yeah. Are at least 50% of those people going to buy the next SF? Definitely. Would Capcom take this as an excuse to give us the same or barely improved netcode for their next game? Probably.

Came across a weird bug on my brother’s PC. Offline training mode, pressed a button, it showed up on the command history, but nothing happened. It’s not like when you press a button while in recovery. All I did was perform a DP from neutral. I thought I may have gotten the inputs wrong, but not even a punch came out.

Came to see how this topics going… and damn still the same people complaining non stop as there were 2 months ago…

The problems obvious in that case…

Things are not perfect, theres still some bugs, but its very very playable. I’m sure you can look up streams/videos of people playing online w/o any issues.

If you really want, I’ll record some sometime.

To the guy a couple posts up… it’s only a part of the community. Again, scroll through this topic and just look at the icons of each user posting… That says it all.

So people are having problems with dropped inputs online?

That makes me feel better - I was playing the other night and had a couple of matches where it was seriously “WTF, why can’t I do a fireball?”

there are timing bugs for sure

Abel s.lp after a crouching string like c.lk c.lp c.lk seems to hit meaty very frequently on PC so it is +7 and you can combo into step kick. gives him some reliable hit confirms vs. lots of standing characters

on Xbox this only consistently works against Chun and Rufus, which makes his infinite work, and only happens against other characters once in a blue moon

I used to do training mode on PC but now I will only do it on Xbox as something is obviously fucked on PC version even with framerate set to “fixed”

I’m playing in mud everytime, every match it seems, even against people 200km away, same people where i play against on xbox which is seemingly fine.
Menu’s lag, matches lag, lag everywhere.

Lag spikes all over the place before I even create a lobby -_-

LOL WUT?
from what alternative universe are you from?
its only part of the community?
lol ohkay guy lol.

don’t misguide people. its everyone.
you cant go online and not experience this ebola lag.
you cant go online, have 10 ranked matches, leave ranked and not have the lag somehow “attach” itself to every game mode you involve yourself with.
once that lag from spammed binding requests infects your game, every game mode lags. including training mode and versus.
only way to avoid the lag is to turn off the game after 4 or 5 matches, wait 5 minutes, then restart and play again. rinse & repeat the process. once you go over the 5 matches against 5 different opponents mark its lagfest central. A lag that sticks to your game like a virus.

don’t.
unless you enjoy Sanford’ing your stick from frustration and rage inducing lag.

honestly, the lag is just awful.
pc version is really bad in ranked.

basically you have to start the game go to infinite create a private lobby and invite a friend.

and even so, sometime it lag so much.

plus the fact that the lag create input drop is just so frustrating. yo see the freeze and you know that for 2-3 sec you will not be able to finish your combo or even put your guard.

yes sometimes it works very well but the overall experience of playing this game online is just really really bad.

Plus we all know that they will never really fix it, they don t want to put the money for( this game have so much issue, pc issues will not be the first one in the list if they fix anything…)

Sorry Capcom you don t deserve any more money.

i tried to run the game with my monitor plugged in as HDMI instead of DVI, and what an unpleasant experience … frame drop, freezs and whatever, and its even worse when you’re not playing in native resolution (1080p for my monitor ) i tried to go online with 720p, and it was a total mess, the game was literally runing slow for no aparent reason … so i switched back to native 1080, same deal, same problems …

then i switched back to DVI, and everything was runing fine, HDMI have a different scaling resolution method than DVI, wich may explain that

I don’t just get dropped inputs intermittently, I get periods of 10 seconds or more when I can’t even move. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen. Usually, I just lose my charge several times each round and have to resort to turtling.

In Vanilla SF4 on pc, that never happened. Charge characters were actually the safest to use online, since all I had to do to guarantee my move would come out is to continue holding the button and forward or up until I actually see the special move.

So it seems the game is working or what???

Are you guys trying to catch up the time lost here complaining?

No point parroting what’s been said over and over. The game is the way it is for now.

I think the fact that no one complain any more shows more that every body gave up than anything else…

the online is just horrible, this game should not be purchase on pc.

capcom should not make money by offering this kind of quality.
