USF4-PC on Steam is SUPERB NOW? *GASP*

where? link please!

i’ve heard them talk about trials, but never about rematch buttons

New alts out for the PC now.

They get 20 colors to choose from instead of the normal 10.

Some of them look MUCH better in a different color.

They are going to be doing a beta for the new netcode soon.
People with major problems should apply to their beta program (Its not open yet).

Where was this announced?

Agreed!
I can’t find a source for that info

"That’s just the costume content.

Rest assured though that the patch to address the network issue is currently being worked on. And even better news is that we’ll be hosting an opt-in beta program to test the patch in open water before we make it the default update.

I don’t have an ETA yet since they’re still working on a fix, but the team understands speed is of the utmost essence. I’ll put up a sticky post once I have more details, but it’ll be similar to how we conducted RE4’s beta program.

Post 13.

it would be awesome if the default costumes had 20 colors to choose from.

I actually think that this is a very consumer-friendly model. The alternative is that you would have to pay to even see other people using these costumes, which would mean that most people would be restricted to seeing just a small subset of the available costumes. Your online experience would be far more bland than is the case now, where any match may include some combination of the about 132 different models that currently exist, and that’s not even counting the different different color combinations. It’ll only costs you in terms harddisk space if you are not not interested in any of the costumes yourself, but the size is negligible on modern systems.

Of course, that is not to say that I would not protest if CapCom added an option to disable (downloading of) the DLC costumes. Nor would I protest if CapCom added official support for user-created skins, but that seems rather unlikely.

Like that would have an impact on the experience, lol.

I can only speak for myself, but I enjoy the added variation.

the beta will be open to everyone

i just played some online and was quite surprised how much better it played this time. it was actually better than vanilla at some points. i did what Maximillian suggested which is to just pick the first person you’re able to pick once the lobby loads, regardless of ping. i don’t know if it was a patch or this technique actually works but it was a better experience. then of course there’s some bad still. moments where everything slowed to a crawl and buffered all inputs during that slow down into the game once it went back to normal. really weird but hey, it’s progress IMO.

The waiting for player thing online is making the game unplayable.

And I’m on Xbox

Are you playing wired or wireless? Cause I get “waiting for player” sometimes on wireless and rarely on wired.

Just played two games. First game got a “You have been disconnected from Steam” error, 2nd match I got a “Player has left the game” error. Yeah…I think I’ll stick to the training lobby for the time being.

At this point, I’m not even mad if someone ragequits

Played Ultra on Steam for the first time today, it’s even worse than I thought. Oh man.

Viper’s color 22 saves what could have been a horrible alt.

yes i got those errors too but when those weren’t happening i was able to reversal and tech throws and inputs were not dropping on most connections. previous, every single match had dropped inputs and huge input delay as well as waiting for player message. my game also crashed while i was waiting in a lobby. shit’s really unstable but that silver lining of hardly any input lag has me hoping.
