Hell yeah! When are you going to release it?
Fantastic breakthrough sloth86!
Imagine creating your own characters with injected models and Onoās tool moveset editor!

The tools I mean. Iām gonna mod something as well with those sweet tools.
Excuse me, guys
Can I ask some question?
Which one software to create this MAKOTO?

Thanks a lot
Hey everyone.
Iāve been following you guys since the SF4 days and i have to say you guys keep raising the bar when it comes to modding. Keep up the great work!
sloth86 - My mind = blown after seeing the Vanille mod. Pure awesomeness!
I found the Seth Iron Man mod in my old collection

Hereās some news on my Ultra Stage mod.
First, some screenshots of 2 new stages (donāt make a fuss about the crappy greyish side presentation thing, Iām no artist at all :p) :
http://tof.canardpc.com/preview2/4906e74b-6c6e-4843-8e8f-bcc7fe5ada8a.jpg
They might need a little bit of reworking, especially the āPirateā one (the barel cut by the horizon line looks a bit awkward), but I may just stay happy with the way they are depending on the time it takes to do all the other stuff.
I thought about something else some time ago : making a ULSA mod stage selection screen. As the Neotokyo training stage shows us (see screenshot below), it looks very doable. Plus, it would be much more easy to select a particuliar stage if the mod users donāt have to remember their āoriginal stage avatarsā by heart^^.
http://tof.canardpc.com/preview2/6d40f4ce-38ee-4680-981a-10d2c007c27b.jpg
Now, as doable as it may seem, I know I donāt have the talent needed to do the art involved in such a project. It may sound a bit naive, but still asking : does anybody feels up to it ? All we really need is the big stage selection āpreviewā picture, I guess the small one can be just ārippedā of the original stage data. If not doable, I may just go for a blank preview screen, and be happy with changing the small preview and the name of the stage.
By the way, that Neo Tokyo Stage Selection mod comes in 3 files, but thereās only one file in the AE stage selection folder ; also, putting the 2 additional files from the mod seems mendatory to get it to work. Could somebody explain the reasons about that, so I may try to make my own version of the mod please ?
And last but not least, that Neo Tokyo SS mod doesnāt change the āTraining Stageā preview image and text on the second screenshot, just before the Versus Screen. Is it possible to change that one ?
Lots of questions here, but I really want to make a good mod
Any way to edit the color selection boxes in the character select screen? Would be nice to change them for certain mods that have all 10 colors included.
Help translate dump āthe arcade version.ā I knew something, but I need a full list of English files in the dump, āArcade versionā, and similar files in the port.
You can simply use NanjouJās Materials Tool to modify the properties of the hair material.
The tool is available at the SSF4AE Wiki:

@Chavelo
Itās a real hassle, but doable. You have to find the characterās tex.emz file (I forget where theyāre stored; maybe in the menu folderā¦?) and then the colors are stored in hex values, just like a web designer would use. You can just replace it with another hex value for each number. btw, your text appears white-on-white for me. I had to highlight your text to see anything but a blank post, FYI.
@doshu
Those other files are stored in the menu directories, IIRC. I think youād be fine just by replacing them with shots from the stage rather than fancy perspectives and whatnot.
@TrainHarder
ah! thanks, man! Youāve made a lot of people very happy. I updated the link on the vanilla wiki with your new one. If anyone wants to update the costume for AE, Iāll link it on that wiki, too.
@GATOKYO
You just need the āmateditā tool from NanjouJ. I believe you change her clothing and hair materials to Emi-something (material from Oniās limbs, I thinkā¦?) and her skin gets the old clothing material. Then, her textures have an alpha channel that, when painted over, causes it to activate the aforementioned Emi material during her super. At least, I think thatās how it goes. irving would be able to tell you more, since heās the one that made it. EDIT: beaten by Berserk-er
exelemt nice job

In fact, thatās exactly what I thought - and did- before seing your reply ^^. Hereās the kind of result we can expect :

The left screenshot shows that I found where the āversus stage name/pictureā is, and how to replace it. The right one shows the Stage Select screen with new art :). As long as I donāt have to create art myself, I should be fine by my own.
Although maybe not for the texts, like āSmall Airfieldā and such : Iām using Gimp, and though I can either cut/copy/paste the existing text (as I did from āAfrica - Small Airfieldā to āAirfieldā), I have no skill in creating new text. Oh, I can type some alright, but I doubt it will look the same - and as good - as the original one (especially that red aura thing). I guess it may be really basic stuff for most of you guys, but not for me. So if anyone could show/teach me how to do it, or simply redirect me to a good and pretty simple tutorial, it would be much appreciated ;).
And last but not least, Iāll have to find a way to mute the announcer announcing the stages^^.
edit : @ hunterk
By the way, can I use the Ryu Classic stage for my mod ? Iām planning to use it instead of the JPN stage (sounds obvious since itās Ryuās stage, or kind of).
@doshu
Looking good, man!
Youāre definitely welcome to include my stage in your pack. Indeed, anyone is welcome to use any of my works (in whole or in part) in anything they like, as per the Creative Commons Share-Alike license, which I publish everything under.
I was wondering if there was a compilation site for all the SSF4:AE skins? I checked the sf4mods site but they only had vanilla SF4 characters.
Ok, I made some progress with the Stage Select thing. Hereās the status :

Iām satisfied with everythingā¦exept the white font for the Stage name. I looked a bit in Gimp menu, but didnāt find anything close to an āadding graphical effect on fontā option. Could someone please help me out for this one ? It would look soooo much better with the same kind of red halo all over it (and the same font too btw, I used āArial Boldā here, but some letters are still a bit different).
And hereās the āDead or Live TV Showā Stage preview pic :

I like the turn that this mod is taking, especially with the āStage Selectā screen updated as well. However, it might take two times longer than I thought to finish the mod. So the new release date is⦠when itās done ^^.
cos 3 for Ibuki, gothique style.
