Bottom left… dear god that is the loosest vagina I have ever seen.

I took sloth86’s short hair and added it to costume 1 using his tools. i also added some purple in the hair and put black lipstick, black eyeliner, and black nails for col 8 which i set as col 1 so i can have the cross hatching. i have also included the other 9 colours which i didnt edit the texture.

It’s looking really good. I already have something in mind when you release it. I can’t wait. You can also check if the UV’s are flipped on the wrong side although I don’t know if it has any impact on your script.

Before starting to work on my Ultra Light Stage mod, I successfully adapted some vanilla Training stages to AE. Here they are, with their original credits.

By the way, if anyone has the Training stages with broken links (Escher, Holodeck, Mario) on their PC, I would gladly try to make them AE compatible ifuploaded again.

Nevertheless, I have updated the first post with some basic instructions. Please backup your files before doing any modding.

Request: Can someone please create a training stage where lines of the grids have measurements on them at the bottom/sides of the screen? Kinda like a ruler?

Whoa, I think I need to clarify some shizzle.

For characters from vanilla SF4, only costumes 1, 2 and 3 are in \resource\battle\chara*, and for characters from Super, only costumes 1 and 2 are there.

Costume 4 for the vanilla characters and costume 3 for the Super characters are in \dlc\02_costume\battle\chara*

For the AE characters, all three costumes are in \dlc\03_character\battle\chara*

And another note for beginners is that the three-letter codes are sometimes confusing. They’re based on the Japanese names, so Dictator is “VEG”, Claw is “BLR”, the American Boxer is “BSN” and Akuma is “GKI”. Evil Ryu is “RYX” and Oni is “GKX”.

For some reason, Viper is “AGL”, Seth is “BOS” (kinda makes sense, but what’s wrong with “SET”?), El Fuerte is “RIC”, Abel is “JHA” and Rufus is “CHB” (chubby?).

^ The reason they do that is because often development on a game starts way before character appearance, stories, bios, and even names are finalized. Sometimes the guys in dev have no say over char names. That kinda stuff is left with design/marketing/PR teams.

Ah, that makes perfect sense.

Still, it’s annoying to deal with.

No love for Rose? I’d love to see some mods for her, especially if you could mod her Alternate 3.

It took a while to learn how to extract the container (to fit ae from vanilla). if its anything beyond that i think its impossible -.-

I set up abeginners’ instructions page on the wiki (linked in the first post). Please let me know if anything is wrong/missing, as I’m away from my SF4 computer at the moment. Kudistos, I included your notes already. Thanks for those.

yeah, I’d like to see some Alt 3 mods for her, too. mastasushi made a “Belle - from Beauty and the Beast” mod for it back in vanilla. Overall, Rose got quite a few mods back in vanilla, if you’d like to update any of them for AE.

I think he mostly just smooshed Seth’s nose in, so it probably wouldn’t be too hard to reproduce. IIRC, the normal map is the most important part of that mod, but it’s not too tough to generate a simple one using the regular texture files as a base.

There are a fair number of mods for Rose, some of which are extremely good (although they’re nearly all for cos 1&2 AFAIK).

Have a look at the vanilla wiki and the Japanese wiki (watch out for NSFW mods at the bottom of the page).

If anybody is interested to have my mod edit of Sakura, let me know: (some were not totally made by me though)



Also, let me know what you guys think on the “colors” of the stages. I modified to colors to make it look more dramatic and colorful.

I figured out what caused everything to be so bright. Each vertex in the game has 3 values associated with it that are supposed to be the tangent vector according to SF4 explorer source code. I always thought lighting was calculated using normal vectors, but apparently this tangent vector plays a role too. Now I need to figure out if its possible to calculate tangent vectors for each vertex, given their xyz position and normal vector. So if anybody knows…
