Yeah, changing ‘skin’ to other stuff does change how it looks…it takes all the properties of that material: color tint, transparency, etc. but still looks very bright.
I figured out the UV stuff though. The problem was my script didn’t differentiate between vertices that have the same xyz position but different uv coordinates. im so damn ignorant when it comes to technical 3d stuff. >.<
What are you talking about, your like one of the smartest ones here. If it wasn’t for you, we wouldn’t be able to add any geometry we wanted and or making it easy to switch polygons with one another. Please do not stop with the progress sloth. You made modeling go very far here
Keeping my promise
Evil Ryu Asura’s wrath
Taking advice from a friend,I made this mod and i think evil ryu is the suitable candidate. The only problem is the missing left, you can consider it like his lost arm(this is not the first time Asura lost his arm).In this archive I include the color with filter and the model still retain his shirt like the second trailer
What do you think

About the specularity:
Did you create an alpha channel in the normal map of the imported mesh?
Because if the alpha channel is all white in the normalmap of the imported mesh, the game would probably add full specularity to the whole texturemap.
I considered that, but he hasn’t been seen in almost a year so I doubt I’d get a response. I guess it won’t hurt. I wish he’d just uploaded all of his mods to megaupload instead of just some of them.
I just absolutely LOVE how there is no where in this entire forum, that tells us instructions on where to place these modded files. It’s neither in Hunterk’s original post, or at his http://aemods.pbworks.com website. It’s simply no where to be found. Absolutely ridiculous. smh
um…not to sound like a jack ass but…have you ever used Windows Search…to you know…just search for the file name in your AEPC folder…and u know…maybe…copy the original file…place it in another folder…and maybe…like…overwrite the mod…to…aww fuk it
I’m making a new version. It will be done in a few days. The abs will be better and not have the slight break between the upper body model and the leg model. I will create 4 different versions with differences to accomadate everybody’s opinions on this. Plus all the textures will now be high rez:
Basically, I will probably have 4 different download links so you only download the model you want. Besides the imporved abs and the option to choose how muscular to make Chun, it is the same as before.
Basically though, I feel like I’m not very good at modeling or even skinning for that matter. I haven’t done any work since UT2004. Most of this are re-edits of alot Acethylen’s work and the inspiration for the arms came from Alejandro-Mikros.
If anyone want’s to redo the arms, please feel free. It’s not easy. They are lacking vertices.
I’ve gone back and forth on the arms so I just included all my derivations. If you think they are too big, at least watch the SF Alpha movie. That is about what they look like in that. Additionally, ever other character in the SF4 universe looks roided out.
Why on earth would you or any of the modders assume that I would find out where to place them by using windows search? That is such a lame response. The OP should have clear instructions on where to place these files either in the first post, or as a text file in the mods’ rar/zip.
How does that tell me WHERE the file’s located? It could be named “yummy_shit” or “cockgobbler”, doesn’t make a difference. There is nothing saying “You need to place this file in XXX directory”.
You guys need to understand that not everyone is PC savvy and some of us have no clue how modding games work. There are several people who have ALREADY PM’ed me telling me they agree 100% and would have liked to have used these custom skins, but don’t know what the hell to do with them. A simple line of text with short instructions on the first page of this thread would go a long way.
