As do I, I wanted to test it but I just got kinda sick of bug-searching. The game is draining to play in current form, menu navigation takes forever.
I trust Moons to not be bullshitting though, dude rarely fucks around with dank memes as much as Honzo.
EDIT*
Fuck it, I’m off to test this out my mind wants to be at ease.

Only explanation is that they have a good copy of the game on their servers and a shit copy named very similar filenames and come launch time Chris the intern pushed the big red UPLOAD button on the wrong one.

One thing that is odd, how come Capcom employees didn’t know about this? I mean how can you possibly release this port?
I just can’t help but think Combofiend is in the office - and there is a new copy of the PS4 port. He sits down and plays it. What is going through his mind? How the hell doesn’t he notice? Really? No one in the entire Capcom office even tried the game out before launching it? How about on the Sony side? It wasn’t like it took more than 10 seconds to realize that something was seriously off. There is no way that the developer who made this didn’t know ahead of time that they were ripping everyone off. And, really, that is what this is. Independent modders come up with better stuff than this. This isn’t some random glitch or a sound issue that doesnt effect playability. This is the entire game from top to bottom.
If it wasn’t Capcom I would get my money back by complaining to Sony. I just want to make sure they have the funding for SF5.
Many of these issues require a very specific set of circumstances though ones easily reproduceable. Such as the Dudley issue specifically with his bulldog outfit. These kind of things should get more squashed and I’m not giving them any sort of out on this absolute failure (the game has been ported to 3 dif platforms if you don’t count 3DS, there is no excuse). I’m just saying that this isn’t exactly a “one guy can sit down and spot problems in 10 seconds” issue.
Imagine you have a 400 page book with lets say 100 typos in it, that’s a fair bit but you’ve probably got like around 200,000 words in that book. How many times do you think you’d need to reread the whole book to find those 100 typos? Probably quite a number. There are teams of editors to try and stamp out these issues but many still slip by. Once it’s out in the wild you have thousands of people on social media combing over that book at once and spotting the errors and calling em out.
Again, not saying they should get a pass “o these things happen” just saying it’s not as easy as 1 guy sitting down for an hour to spot all the problems.
Main thing is, it sounds like Capcom handed this off to a group of people who have monkeys for QA people and don’t learn their lessons from the awful port of Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection.
OH, CAPCOM…
Truly the gift (of fail) that keeps on giving (failing) …
I’ve never touched a SF game in my life, so I don’t care about nerfs and buffs. But does this version have any performance issues?

LOL. You obviously haven’t played it yet It’s like have a 400 page book, with 200,000 words; and there are 150,000 typos. It’s completely obvious from the second you play that there is something seriously wrong.
This port is gutter trash.
Isn’t there a hardcopy version of the game or is this strictly a digital release?

Only digital atm from what I hear.
Yes, no hardcopy planned at all.
Thanks, I haven’t been following this particularly closely as I figured it’d go off smoothly and I wouldn’t care since I don’t own a PS4

None of the glitches so far would fall under the “completely obvious from the second you play”.
The only one that’s close is the supposed input delay, but that may simply be because it’s been benchmarked against the arcade version, which last I checked was 1 frame slower than 360.

I admit quite freely I have not played it. However as @d3v says the stuff reported is all stuff that isn’t particularly obvious to find beyond the potential input delay and slight issue with some menus maybe fading slower than on other platforms. I have however done QA for at least 1 large project though it was a mod (Threewave CTF for Quake 3, some of the devs of that actually work at Valve/Relic now)
As I said though, there is ultimately no excuse for the failure itself.

Except for the fact that the game plays like it’s in slow motion. I didn’t come to these forums because I found a glitch; i came because i thought there was something wrong with my system. I can’t help but think the people that are defending the port are the ones (like eternal) that haven’t actually played it.

Debunked, can’t get any of the things I sent in to work, although Rolento in general feels janky as fuck. His animations feel different.
Where did I defend the port itself? I’ve consistently said there is no excuse for the fuckup, just that the ease of QA is being overstated and that things are very likely to come to light once the thing is in the hands of the public which is thousands of people vs maybe 5-10.
Capcom should have run this through their OWN QA team in addition rather than just relying on the hiring of a janky ass company like Oceanic which has a poor record even specifically with fighting games.

Exactly. Every character feels fucked up like that. You can tell right away that there is something wrong with the game. Obviously there is no point for me to keep reiterating the same thing. There is no way someone on Capcom’s or Sony’s side wouldn’t have noticed in roughly 10 seconds that there were problems with the game.

Not trying to start a debate with you. You gave some analogy regarding typos in a book 400 vs 200,000…or .2%. You were talking about issues being hard to reproduce, etc… but you don’t even have the game. Maybe just wait until you try it? The port is terribly slow -> as in you’ll notice it right away. You don’t need glitches to know this port is garbage and not ready for release.
