USF4 On PS4

The game isn’t recognizing my Qanba Q4, when i plug this message pop-out “Can’t use wireless controller for the ps3 system”, anyone having the same problem? My ps4 is european, i don’t know if this change something…

lol. man they’ve been fucking up so much lately. if this doesn’t get fixed they’ll probably have to use the PS3 version for EVO since they’re in bed with Sony now. i doubt they’d use the PS4 port if it’s mostly like this after a patch or two. oh the days when big companies actually made their own games…

I doubt they can fix this shit in a few patches unless capcom stops fucking around and does this shit themselves.

Because of the weirdness of the current bugs present, I highly doubt this will get fixed within 2/3 patches. They seem to have caused some very obvious large fuck-ups (How the fuck do you nerf a character when porting the fucking game?) there are also some very small bugs that aren’t present in every match. Top of the fix list is - menu slow down, various sound bugs, un-nerfing the characters they hit with that sly shit, and fixing input delay. Online sucks dick but at this point you have to just look at the offline portion and fix that so it’s presentable at offline events, and fix online down the road.

Just started testing this out on PS4. There is still input lag in the game. It’s not as bad as some people(coughdamdaicough) said where it’s unplayable competitvely, but it’s still there. It feels like there’s about 1f of input lag. I was dropping combos the same way I drop them on PS3, which leads me to believe it’s the same input lag as PS3. The menu lag that people are talking about though, the menus fade in and out slower. There’s no actual lag when moving through the options of the menu.

I haven’t been able to reproduce the other bugs that have been shown yet, though I’ve only been playing for like 30 mins.

I doubt this version will be used for EVO. Invisible sonic boom would be too cheap :slight_smile:

EDIT: BTW, this was tested on a TE2 PS4 stick.

even with the sony sponsorship i doubt evo will continue with usf4 on the ps4, as buggy as it is. capcom would get so much bad press from otaku, ign, etc. y’all would do good by blowing up combofiends/mrwizards twitter to make sure the right people get informed.

Is this 1 frame compared to 360 or 1 frame compared to arcade?

I recall that the 360 version is at least 1 frame faster than the arcade version, which may be the issue if they’re benchmark is the arcade version.

i put my ps4 on dmz and i still can’t see most peoples latency bar. This version is seriously gonna be the evo standard? this is trash, capcom should have developed it themselves. name bug, sound glitches, network error codes, laggy ui, unintended balance changes. I want an effin refund, they better patch this shit.

Other Ocean obviously thought 1.04 was a little too stale for their liking and decided to turn the core game into a lovechild between 1.04 and Omega mode.

The Moons/Honzo reports are whack, cancellable cr.fierce and restand from EX Patriot Circle? I’m not a genius with coding but how do you change characters data/properties when porting a game. Wouldn’t this require intentional changing of the games code on very definitive levels? Like how do you accidentally make crouching fierce for Sagat special cancellable when porting the game? WHY WOULD YOU FUCK WITH SAGAT’S DATA AND PROPERTIES ANYWAY.

I’m also using a TE2 and i think the input lag is variable. For instance, sometimes you can press a button and it will literally take 1/2 a second to come out. I also had completely dropped inputs while in training mode.

I take everything Honzo says with about 10lbs of skepticism. I dunno about moons though.

As far as I can tell from video comparison to PC version Decapre’s ground cancel is the same distance but her white after image is not properly moving at the right speed. I think it’s purely a visual issue on this one instance but I don’t have PS4 so I’m just going by a shitty vine recording.

The CapcomFighters page made a tweet JUST as USF4 released around 9-10 hours ago, it’s been radio silence since. This company is like a child who constantly misbehaves, and then runs and hides when the parents come to punish them.

Wonder when literally any of these problems will be addressed? They have to be, for certain. It cannot be finished here and now otherwise the Pro Tour is going to be fucked. I foresee boycotts from TOs coming if Capcom don’t come out and say anything. Spooky has already done the right thing and others need to follow with what he’s doing.

I think there is going to be a lot unwanted changes to characters that people will find within the next 3 days, I expect a Defcon 5 patch by next week because the situation is currently fucked.

One thing that is odd, how come Capcom employees didn’t know about this? I mean how can you possibly release this port?

I just can’t help but think Combofiend is in the office - and there is a new copy of the PS4 port. He sits down and plays it. What is going through his mind? How the hell doesn’t he notice? Really? No one in the entire Capcom office even tried the game out before launching it? How about on the Sony side? It wasn’t like it took more than 10 seconds to realize that something was seriously off. There is no way that the developer who made this didn’t know ahead of time that they were ripping everyone off. And, really, that is what this is. Independent modders come up with better stuff than this. This isn’t some random glitch or a sound issue that doesnt effect playability. This is the entire game from top to bottom.

If it wasn’t Capcom I would get my money back by complaining to Sony. I just want to make sure they have the funding for SF5.
