I didn’t say the issues were hard to reproduce, I actually said the exact opposite!
I said it required a specific set of circumstances. That means you need to do X+Y to A+B to get this in many of the cases. You can easily and consistently do this once you know what you’re looking for.
Do you have idea how many lines of code are in a game how many places an error COULD be? 0.2% is a ton. Actually even in books having an 0.2% typo to word ratio would be considered unacceptable to many publishers. Most books you’re lucky to find more than 20 typos in a book that length if it’s a halfway decent editor.
My ONLY point was one guy isn’t going to find all of these issues. Hell, in QA even if you FIND the issue, document it, classify it, and the programmers are willing to fix it the issue may come down to budget and executives may deem it not cost effective to do so! Isn’t game development lovely?
The FACT this port is fucked up and shouldn’t have seen release yet is a totally different matter and one I fully am behind.
Just go play it already. It’s not like anyone who plays this game a lot can miss how off it feels, looks, sounds. It will take you less than one minute to know how off it is. When I read your above posts and can only feel you’re trying to start some kind of wild argument. You don’t even have the game, but you’re comment in the USF4 on PS4 thread.
Just go play the PS4 version at your friends house. Then come back here and write your posts. Obviously, you need to actually try the game to start posting percentages of typos or whatever you’re babbling about. When you actually try the game, you’re going to find what ANY QA person, who is comparing one version to the other, already found - this game does NOT play like the other versions. There are problems all over the place. It’s not like these are issues they could have “missed”.
Guile’s Sonic Boom graphical effects are fucked. Mine isn’t invisible but has a horrible effect following from behind it, can’t explain what it looks like. Draw one of those very simple fish shapes and imagine the tail on it, it looks like that.
Question, the game should be universal for all copies right? Bc there’s quite a variance between responses. People going from “There’s no input lag” to “9 frames of input lag” is kinda big.
So far with the game I only notice these few things:
Online, sometimes the connection bar would show no bars but then when you ready up for the next match it would be green.
SLOW menus
Gamertag disappearance
Training stage blurry lines on the ground
The trail behind Guile sonic boom is abit off. I checked old gen vid of sonic booms and you can tell the difference.
I havent experienced the Dudley robotic noise nor the invisible sonic booms. I chucked booms w Guile in the lab for like 10 minutes and it never occurred. I see alot of people complaining about input lag…idk but I haven’t experience that either. Man this is some real sloppy work. Im just going to chill and wait for a patch. Hopefully these issues get fixed quick because I know ps4 is the new standard now for the tournaments.
It could be down to different input devices. I’m wondering if it’s the lab-zero driver causing issues, actual PCB lag, a combination of the two, people being used to setup X Y or Z coming into using the PS4 version, etc.
Yeah, and apparently different bugs are appearing/not appearing for people. There must be pretty specific circumstances where this is actually happening then.
Which means…Idk what for patch time release. Better? Worse?
I was actually saying that to myself. Might be a timing thing but then again you never know. It’s weird though that people are experiencing different bullshit with the game. That video of Dudley noise shocked me because I was playing on every stage to see if there was an audio problem and nothing. I used the same color and all.
To all those that say there’s no input lag offline (in actual gameplay), are you guys coming from the ps3 version? Because compared to the ps3 version I feel it’s about the same. Compared to the PC or xbox360 version, there’s a good amount of input lag offline. Offline feels like it’s like a good yellow bar (almost green) connection on xbox live.
Plus it will probably go free on Plus because they did that with vanilla AE awhile back, and IIRC VF. Just holding out hope that everything gets patched up in time, but I’m not holding my breath.
im listening to ultrachentv on twitch. they mention something about having two sticks working on ps4 but gotta run through hoops to get it working. anyone know these instructions?
