that arcade was great but i grew up in 4 arcades really, Tilt in Greenville(so many great old games) Jolly Time in Spartanburg(worked there and played the most) Jolly time in Greenville and Alladins Castle in Spartaburg. By far my favorite was Tilt just for the variety. God i miss arcades so much but they are never NEVER coming back.
nah dude, Itâs good to actually see this place. I miss it so bad. That arcade helped me get through hard times dude. It was the one place in the world I could get away from everything and be in my own world. Nothing else existed and it was just me and that game. It was a good escape⌠I love that Arcade like it was a home. It just brings me back. If I could go back to then in a time Machine. That version of my self would probably destroy me in SF3:3rd strike, lol

I have another sponsor for the Gvegas tournament. Videogame Cavern, a local supplier of Rare videogames dating back to the Magnovox Odyssey. Just to remind everyone today is the last day to preregister for Gvegas Beatdown. I am printing out everything tomorrow morning to try to get set up so if you are not preregistered by tomorrow it will be 15 at the door.
Damn man I wish I could be there, but all oddâs are against me coming to this one. First of all I gotta work⌠2nd of all even if I asked off for it which I asked to get off early saturday⌠but the reason why is I have to go to a Wedding⌠haha. So there is no way I can make it. Iâll be traveling out to see a Friend getting married! But I wana wish everyone the best and do the best ya can!
Itâll be nice to meet some of you guys from Upstate this weekend. I havenât attended an Upstate tournament since JohnnyQuestâs at Planet Comic and never been to Greenville.
by the way videogame cavern had said they are giving away prizes for the winners in each of the three majors. Tournament keeps getting more hype.

upstate better be here in full force! we need as many people as possible because i want the owners of the hotel to see this is something they need to continue renting us this venue for. i am investing a lot of money because i love this community and i really want us to have a bad ass day! my goal is in two years to have greenville the home of a major tournament! the only reason we cant do it is because the community doesnât want it. i dont believe that to be true.
This may be a really ambitious goal but nothing great was ever achieved without high goals. Upstate may not have the most dedicated players now but in the past we did. everyone remember how great our old get togethers when Kyah and Ted ran them and I hope we can pull together and make this one amazing. upstate has some of the coolest people i have ever met, lets help put it on the Map.
I am 100% behind you in this fill I would love to see greenville come alive in the fighting game scene, I know not having a arcade or a weekly spot to hold small tournaments doesnât help but maybe that can change slowly and we can have this grow and grow.
Yes thatâs better Phil haha, also if you want Greenville to be taken seriously we need to start getting some weekly casuals again like we used to in the LFG days. I miss those days because I was actually starting to get decent. Also, weâve added about 3-4 new guys around me who have started playing fighters recently and are coming to the tourney.
Better get them preregistered as i am printing the brackets in an hour.
