there is a great write up about mvc2 on the front page. or there WAS one anyways. it was saying the same thing that made it bad also made it great, which in turn made it go strong for a solid decade.
ppl are lazy though & they don’t like to lose AND they like to noob out, which makes for a bad combination. it’s always been like this though. once ppl start finding out who is good, they start playing with them to exploit character strengths. if they aren’t solid though it usually comes to the light over time.
That’s why I play mid to low tier characters. That way if I lose I can blame it on the “Tiers”.

I hope they do bump up the tiers in mvc3. I know its highly unlikely but it would be nice to see some god tiers on the capcom side for this next go around. I have a feeling Dante is an instant favorite for any capcom fan out there.

yea buck your vega is scary again, i am loving the game so far, no one is looking too broke no one is looking to shitty. the throw system is better, the punishment is better and over powered characters are toned down. even dudley doesnt look as bad as i thought(geif almost beats him for free.) the endless battles are going to ruin my life not to mention keep me from playing all the shit i bought on the most recent gamestop sale.
SSF4 has severly added to my lack of sleep.

finally got a chance to play super. Although I’m extremely rusty since I haven’t touched sf4 in quite awhile, I figured out Guy fairly quick. He seems to fit my style and I’ll probably stick with him whenever I play. Although Adon might be my 2nd choice!

We are working everyday right now until we run out of components. Most of ours come from overseas so it has really affected my job. There is a rumor that we will be off for two weeks in the near future waiting on supplies.

dude i dont know why i argued with him it was a complete waste of time i thought i could somehow prove his point wrong and he would listen to reason, but even after having his point proven wrong he still decided to say i dont know what i am talking about.
here where his basic points SF is garbage because it has tiers that dictate the results but Virtua fighter did not. Tiers dont exist in VF because no character has to work harder that another and that tournament results where always completly balaced with all characters winning. And Finally 3d games where different than 3d games and could not be compared because they are completly different.
He then after an hour of calling buck retarded he decided to tell us that vanessa was the best in vf because she had one attack that killed step and was a plus 3 on block but that did not make her better than lion that had no such move because it only comes down to the player in vf.
Then i told him that on a basic level 3d games where the same as 2d because the goal of the game is take off more life off your opponent before he take off more from you. The way you do this is the same in both by punishing unsafe or wiffed move, putting players in traps they cant get out of, comboing them or interupting there attacks ect. he then said in 3d games you can evade by side stepping, i replied in 2d you evade by jumping or backdashing. he then said wakeup games in 3d games are deeper because of the wakeup kicks that you can use and that players must respect leading to mind games. so it is a reversal like a srk and leads to mind games. he then said 3d games are better because you have more moves which leads to more options, i replied if you have a character that has 90+ moves and 84 of them suck you only have 6 moves just like 2d.
after i proved every single point wrong his consensus was that in VF tiers dont matter even though certian characters have to work harder, and 2d and 3d games cant be compared even thought they have the same basic goals and same way of achieving those goals.
