dude i dont know why i argued with him it was a complete waste of time i thought i could somehow prove his point wrong and he would listen to reason, but even after having his point proven wrong he still decided to say i dont know what i am talking about.

here where his basic points SF is garbage because it has tiers that dictate the results but Virtua fighter did not. Tiers dont exist in VF because no character has to work harder that another and that tournament results where always completly balaced with all characters winning. And Finally 3d games where different than 3d games and could not be compared because they are completly different.

He then after an hour of calling buck retarded he decided to tell us that vanessa was the best in vf because she had one attack that killed step and was a plus 3 on block but that did not make her better than lion that had no such move because it only comes down to the player in vf.
Then i told him that on a basic level 3d games where the same as 2d because the goal of the game is take off more life off your opponent before he take off more from you. The way you do this is the same in both by punishing unsafe or wiffed move, putting players in traps they cant get out of, comboing them or interupting there attacks ect. he then said in 3d games you can evade by side stepping, i replied in 2d you evade by jumping or backdashing. he then said wakeup games in 3d games are deeper because of the wakeup kicks that you can use and that players must respect leading to mind games. so it is a reversal like a srk and leads to mind games. he then said 3d games are better because you have more moves which leads to more options, i replied if you have a character that has 90+ moves and 84 of them suck you only have 6 moves just like 2d.

after i proved every single point wrong his consensus was that in VF tiers dont matter even though certian characters have to work harder, and 2d and 3d games cant be compared even thought they have the same basic goals and same way of achieving those goals.

Yo, I hate VF. Not because it’s a bad game… It’s just… What you see is what you get. It’s not unnecessary like Street Fighter or even Tekken. I like unnecessaryness in my fighting games. Virtua Fighter is almost too balanced.

I don’t want to play SSF4 just because of the Fei Long infinite and I know they gonna renerf his hk.cw. Lazy ass capcom. Throw do seem slightly better, but you don’t even get frame advantage for attempting it if it’s teched. And blockstun is still really low. I was mashing flamekick against buck and filldoh the other night in between blockstrings. Shit still works.

I like fighting games that test my patience and skill. I also like for my fighting games to be flashy, hype, and technical. If I don’t care for it. Its bc it doesn’t have those qualities. And to be honest, it doesn’t matter bc the majority know wich games are gold and which ones are not. So fuck off.

i love most fighting games vf included, it isnt flashy but it is solid. but what i hate about vf is that players that suck at it(not the good players) use it as an excuse to diss your games. They come over to sf(any version) or any other game you are playing lose because they are doing stupid shit and then procede to say that they are losing not because they suck but because the game is broken compared to vf. then they go and invite someone that doesnt play vf to a match, beat them because the person doesnt know what they are doing and say “see this game takes skill” when if they went to a tournament that would get there ass handed too them.

OH well enough ranting the next tournament will be June 12th mark it off on your calendars and ask for your days off, That means you stowe no going out of town this time, shelby needs a ride

Virtua Fighter is serious shit man. I like my fighting games to have competition, some flashiness, skill, and fine ass bitches. Sorry I never got back to you Phil, I dunno whats gotten into me lately.

I played VF a little bit and I did not like it at all. I didn’t have any fun playing it. I hear that it’s a great game when you start to engage into the competitive nature of it, I just have no motivation to go that far with it. On the other hand, I’ve been starting to play Guilty Gear, and I’m so bad at the game. But it’s so unnecessary. I love it.
