Was rocking Zero/Dante/Strider at last nights WinnerStaysOn / Armshouse stream got a bit messy but I’m playing with a fucked up left hand so w/e/.

Featuring Rock, Paper, Scissors to decide the real winner.

Watching the last match now. I like the confirm off strider with dive > buster > command dash down, run up and launch. Is that pretty consistent for you?
Mid screen if you have to use Dante to relaunch, you can do call dante > Dive > wait for jam session to end > jump buster > lightning etc etc without killing the scaling. I noticed you dropped the strider extension too… if you need to buy time to get strider out, try doing 6H after the lightning while calling strider, then go into your DP. Seems a lot more consistent for me than just calling strider and going into the uppercut raw.
With Frank I noticed he was just super jumping a lot, so when you’re off screen at the bottom, just call dante and run under him, that’ll make them stop doing that quick.
VS Doom when you had Zero, just super jump up and do M lightning mixups / buster cancels, or get below him and do the same jam session > run under thing. There’s really not reason to be scared of doom by himself.
With Dante when you had x factor and he was super jumping you should have just spammed jam session, it woulda comboed if it hit and you could have chipped him out, or made hims tay on the ground where you coulda chipped him with lightning bolts when you were in devil trigger.
Also when you got the air throw with dante, you can keep the combo going by x factoring the gun shots and then going for volcano.
With strider when you have level 3 x factor and orbs, just do wall cling. It’s… pretty much unblockable. It’s much faster than teleport and you can still fire rings while you’re doing it.
Otherwise good stuff though. That really sucks about the power going out and the happy birthday.
Yeah the confirm off Strider is easy if I’m no more than 1/3rd of the screen away from them. I wasn’t really expecting it to hit but both times I just did it on reaction.
As for dropping Strider extension twice, those were literally the only 2 times I’ve ever dropped that in casuals or tournament, think I just did Ryuenjin waaaay too soon got ahead of myself.
I’ll try the Jam Session thing next time, I’ve just learnt to respect footdive too much now so I’ve got a bad habit of keeping my distance.
When I go the air grab with Dante someone was yelling “DO THE INFINITE” but I had no idea how, later I was told to XFC the guns and do volcano, beehive > infinite. Defo gotta spend more time in the lab with Strider and Dante, I’m still not in the habit of going into a BnB combo off an anti-air Vajra with Strider yet.
In XF3 is Jam Session a true blockstring by any chance? Oh and thanks for the headsup on wall cling, had no idea about that.
Not sure if it’s a true block string actually, I’m sure they can just push block you, but it’s risk free to do when they’re jumping since it pushes them out, plus it can ambiguously cross up. I know theoritically he can devil trigger and combo off of it mid screen if you’re too far to do the infinite but that’s pretty hard to do at super jump height.
Least you were going for the H Modified one, I got hype just thinking “AW SHIT FINALLY SOMEONE’S GONNA DO IT ON STREAM” but commentators didn’t care =’(
Saw lightning loop at next level and got hype. Next time you’ll finish it and we’ll get to see everyone’s “What just happend?” face.
Although more zero’s are popping up at next level who are doing loops. We just don’t see them stream mostly until they face Chris G and then they have to navigate a minefield. Execution is not a free get in

Also w/ zero if you have a full buster charged after the buster part you can normal jump up and throw a buster and you should be able to connect w/ it

BUt yeah your description is right. I used the move a few times while playing DJ Housen at Final Round and he even said that the move isn’t a true blockstring and that no one punishes it lol. Everyone usually just tried to jump block it or something lol.
