Ammy has an answer to any one thing you try. You have to either be random in your attack or use assists to lock her down. Example drones may get reflected but will leave her open to swords. Block let’s you mixup.
Hived with lvl3 buster charge let’s you attack or switch to projectile when you are fighting alone.
I use Zero/Vergil/Hawkeye, and he uses Spidey/Task/Doom. It wouldn’t normally be a problem, but new spidey is AMAZING with Doom missiles. It’s impossible to find an opening with Missiles everywhere, task arrows coming right at you, and any jump punished by a M. Web Throw.
I’ve been told that You can crouch block him the entire time, untill you see Spider Sting come up, then start standing again, because once spidey’s in, he’s in.
Alright so I need SERIOUS help with the Zero vs Magneto matchup. My main issue is the fact that I can’t get any air control going (Probably the most important spot Zero needs to be in). Can anyone help me out here?
I got this from watching AvariceX’ (shout outs) latest match videos this morning:
When Magneto jumps or super jumps away while chucking Disruptors, try to jump forward, then do j.Raikousen H xx Buster xx Hienkyaku L, then land, dash, S. Everything connected even if it seems like Magneto was a full screen away before Zero jumped forward.
Zero vs spidey is very much like Zero vs Zero. Try to maneuver, keeping out of the diagonal down angle while putting him in it. He might have missile to lock you down, etc. You have to play a balance of attacking/avoiding the point character while punishing the assist call especially if it is a lockdown like Drones/missiles. Air maximum spider is a threat but can be kept in check by firing level 1 busters and lightning cancels. Be patient, don’t put yourself in a position where you have to block a mixup, and get the first hit.
I need serious help with the Vergil matchup. Skimming the Vergil boards they are calling Zero a bad matchup but I don’t have it yet. Played two good Vergisl last night and both blew my Zero up. I need help with the neutral. What should I be looking to do when they are standing full screen away with a charged round trip?
Taking to the air sets up a left/right for them when I land.
Buster autocorrects uncovered left/right teleports fine. But how do I discourage assist calls? I’ve been mixing in hadangeki’s and beam assists, baiting the teleport and buster. It works great sometimes and sometimes I’m still tagged by the assist and killed.
I’m also having trouble with jump, throw round trip, teleport mixups. Sitting here now I guess I should be jump lightning canceling that. I had mild success with hadangeki’s but beam assist by them blows that up.
I use Doom beam /Strider Vajra. I don’t mind calling assists if it should keep me safer but I am more wary now since I got happy birthday’ed lots of times in ways I didn’t really understand by Vergil.
I’ve heard somewhere Before to never Crouching block against Spidey, but will it really be enough? a single low and Doom missles later and Zero is gone. Maximum spider punish is a given for me, but by far Patience is definitely key. I Just need to figure out good ways of pushing Task/Doom assists out of the way because Spidey can just Keep going once he’s got you.
I need help with dealing with Ghost Rider and Hulk backed up by Sentinel drones pressure? Once they get me cornered I have no clue what do any help is appreciated.
So I can’t help but feel that Dormammu rapes Zero. It’s very difficult for zero to approach him because of all his crap, and if he reads one air dash, then that’s a wrap. I’ve tried looking for videos to see how other zeros take care of it, and all I see is most of them getting destroyed. I’m aware of zeros options, I’m just unsure of which of them are the best to use vs dorm. If anyone has any vids or anything or examples feel free to let me know. <_<
Until then, I’ll just keep switching ups lead getting saltier and saltier about Dorm. xD
Is there any way Someone can update the first page’s initial post? I’m sure we have plenty of information to go in those Match-up brackets haha. and 4 out of 50 characters is not a good match-up advice thread starter.
I think instead of all of us randomly posting asking about other characters, we should do like one match up discussion day, or a week, that way we are all more united and we hear different opinions and advice for the same match up.

I’ve discovered that Zero do very well against Nemesis T-Type, as long as you block all of NTT’s attack’s or keep him from getting the first strike, you can win.
Use Doom beam to fight shuma, Zero to fight wolvie. Ryuenjin beats divekick clean and unless you are point blank zero beats wolvie. That’s theory anyway.
Hey guys, I have a few questions about fighting against a team that my long-time friend has copped from another player in the FGC, which is Haggar (on point), Dante (Weasel Shot), and Wesker (Samurai Edge). As for myself, I run Zero (Ryuenjin), Taskmaster (H Arrows), Spencer (Slant Grapple).
I honestly have no idea how to deal with this team, and once you get cornered, it’s over. Weasel shots hold you down and he can pipe all he wants and if you jump and try to chicken block or jump and throw, the pipe self-OSs throw tech, which adds to the further stupidity of this team. I try chicken pushblocking in mid-air and then doing an air-tele’ing out but the pipe covers about a 75% circumference around his body and the fact that Zero can’t block out of his teles, I get hit and end up getting killed. His team can do about 800K off a throw with two bars, and significantly more with a regular hit confirm.
I know that zoning is the way to go against Haggar, but I feel like my team doesn’t cover enough of the screen to zone Haggar out well enough. Jumping and buster’ing with Horizontal Arrows from Taskmaster only covers about 50% of the screen, which Haggar easily gets through by just jumping forward. And he has such an easy time happy birthday’ing assists because he just jumps in and hits you with that ridiculous range on the pipe.
And even going on the offensive, you can’t do the usual H-teleport cross up H tactics with Zero because Haggar just lariats that shit just blows up any offense based on rush downs.
The worst thing about it is that he has so much f*cking HP, and not to mention if I manage to kill him on the rare occasions, I have XF4 (yes, 4, without glasses) Wesker to deal with at the end, and don’t even get me started on that guy.
Any insight on how to approach this team would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!
Don’t take my word for it, but from what I’ve seen, I think a vertical assist is very beneficial to your success against your friend’s Haggar, and is very effective against many teams if you are using Zero. I don’t want to say you should drop Task or Spencer, but perhaps consider it. Take a look at some characters, do some testing, etc.
Some vertical assists I can think of are Dante’s jam session and Doom’s missiles.
Haggar is pretty easy to zone out, as you know, but a vertical assist makes it much harder for him to get in, if at all.
