Trust me, events like this with this much community hype rarely happen, and it’s definitely not something you want to miss out on.
I think just the change of venue has motivated a lot more people to try and make this.
I actually really want to, I’m pretty sure I’ll suck ass, but the beer and wings shall make up for it.

K, I don’t know who said that the team tourney is the qualifier, but it’s not. The hell kinda qualifier is that.
The 5v5 against mtl will be Vanilla ST. THEREFORE, the qualifier will use either emu/DC version of ST period.
As for the team tourney being either HDR or Vanilla it’s up to Davero or whoever is running it.
Either way I’m still winning it. 
It’s my personal opinion that since this tournament is supposed to be Team Canada’s Evo
’09 prep, we should play Evo '09 rules.
This means:
Evo Standard Format, Double Elimination, Speed 3, 2/3 Rounds, 2/3 Games, Remixed Mode.
And consequently Akuma will not be allowed.
(Ignore the 2/3 games for this Team tourny)
But if the majority want Classic I suppose we could do that.

The team tourny can act as the EVO prep since I think that was the original intent of having HD teams in the first place. So the 3on3 should be played on remixed mode.
The singles tourny was added as a somewhat last-minute thing because ppl wanted a fair shot at being on the ST team at TX. And since the singles tourny is not EVO prep and classic ST is being played at TX, classic ST (HDR classic mode doesn’t count) should be used for this.
I find this an appropriate time for the return of Tigerleeeeeeeeee

Start Time
Due to the big turnout of dis event, and we’re only supposed to have the tournament running till 8 or 9, everyone needs to show up ON TIME.
If ur gonna be late, u must notify one of the directors, haf someone sign up for u AND PAY ur entry fee.
Registration will close at 2pm and tournament will start 2:30 sharp!!!
ps. for those who wants to stay for drinks and MMs/casuals, we will still be able to keep 1 TV for dat.
