Whoa whoa whoa… The team tourney is what they’re using to determine the STHD 5v5 qualifier? That’s fucking ridiculous. I thought this team tourney was just straight and then they’d have a standard double elim for the qualifier spots.

alrite guys i got some great news for everyone’s question regarding to the venue and entry fee.
after talking to the boss we agreed on setting $5 entry fee for everyone dat comes in. and as soon as they brought 20 worth of food or drink, the $5 will be refund to them, if they dun’t buy dat amount of food den the $5 will be kept as venue fee.

OK I don’t mind having 2 qualifiers for the TX ST 5on5, but just to be clear, this will mean having an ST singles tourney in addition to the 3on3, with the top 2 places in the ST singles getting the first 2 spots. THe top 2 places at the POWNZ tourney will get the next 2, and then the last spot can be determined by maybe a round robin playoff between the 3rd to 5th places spots or something.
And the qualifiers should be run either on emulator with sticks, or dreamcast ST. Otherwise it might as well not be run.

There’s too much hate for HDR all around including in the states.
Personally I can’t really tell the difference but we’ve already had a vote on it posted by Justin. Therefore we should stick with Vanilla.
HDR classic mode is not arcade perfect. Plus the new music is gay except for a few tracks. Retro 80s arcade music all the way.

It makes no sense to me to use a tournament for a different version of a game as a qualifier.
If for some crazy reason it is decided that SoGo STHD 3v3 results will grant the winning team a spot on the team AND our team wins the tournament, I will gladly forfeit my spot as I know there are handful of other players who at the moment are playing this game more seriously than i am.
my cammy is full of gimmicks, i lose to honda bad and i haven’t really touched STHD since SF4 was rls’d. my 2 cents.

SETUP
We need extended regular and/or hdmi cables. JUST TO BE SAFE.
We can account for at least 1 TV to have SC, or at least my LCD. Hoping we get at least one major TV.
We can account for at least one TV (likely Projector, using Sogo PS3) being used for the main SFIV matches, unless they dont like the view or feel their is lag.
After that, its a matter of WallMounted LCD, or BYOTV. Im not sure how much TVs are designated to us. I’ll ask Eric.
I’m going to assign Emily to do all the Money. She’s knows whats going on. I’ll do the numbers, some one can double check;).
