The point I was trying to make was to have everyone spend money to meet the $15 (or $20) food quota at SoGo to get their money’s worth (value wise) as opposed to ONLY paying the the cover fee and getting food somewhere else.

Concerning the ST TX qualifiers. I’d like to suggest that there be two qualifiers. 3 of the spots be given at this tournament because of the increased population of players. The latter 2 spots be distributed at the POWNZ tournament on 07/04. It’s frankly ridiculous to have one tournament determine 5 qualifying spots. If you can’t get it done at this tournament and you want it bad enough then make your way to the latter qualifier and get it done. Thoughts? Opinions? Criticisms?

What about SFIV quals for TX though?
According to bracket skills, the only two spots that are for certain in a double elim tourney are #1 and #2, since #3 can lose to an unfortunate loss to #2 early on if he got scammed by #1. I know you know what I’m talking about even though I sound insane. In random seeding, #1 and #2 are SUPPOSED to be the only guaranteed spots, and even with seeding of something like top 8, the individual ranks can be inaccurate based on the level of play for the day and again the only accurate ranks are 1 and 2.
Point is, a single double elim tourney in theory should only ever yield 2 spots. Which should mean 2 for 07/04 and one for either an autospot or a last minute ‘lets see who stepped their game up the most’ wildcard qualifier, maybe invite only based on the top spots from the other 2 tournies.
Yeah, I know this is a bit much for a 5v5 I won’t even be attending, but in the past qualifiers have been done poorly imo despite my insane rambling which in theory gives better teams overall.
PS - I didn’t even realize what you were saying. Giving 3 spots away at this tourney assuming 1st place team all get in is madness. I know this may be insulting, but ngu/jaywang/jamie, if they won, clearly has a player that is worse than say… Rey, but the tourney can be 100% carried by Jamie. It NEEDS to be singles.
