I guess it’s fate that this opportunity came to us and we grabbed it just in time. I’m really thankful to everyone who’s coming and supporting the scene for this special event. Looking forward to see everyone dis sat!

Assuming you weren’t playing in any tournaments, you’d still be required to pay the venue fee.

seriously though, i would expect everyone to be on the honour system for this one. the SoGo owner is doing the community a HUGE favour by accommadating such a large group on such little notice.
anyways, i have a feeling that (not including the T tournies) could turn out to be the largest SF tourney this city has ever seen. this is very surprising given how last minute everything has come together. but whatever! it’s all good now and i’m pretty pumped for this!

This tournament is definetly exceeding expectations.
NOTE: Sorry guys but DO NOT HOLD A MVC2 TOURNAMENT DURING HDR OR SFIV!!!
This should be obvious. Everyone cannot play their matches at once. This leads to 3 out of 4 TVs not being used becuase someone is finishing a Match. If any side tourneys go on PLEASE DO IT AFTER SFIV!! Trust me guys, we are not ready to be holding 4 Tourneys simeaultanouesly.
SIGN UP
- Make a List of Possible Players (I will do this)
- Make a List of Possible games (names will be added as people sign up for each game. This will then be forwarded to Bracket Creators)
- Collect money from each player (this should also include Organizers as well.
- once fees are collected, we can have a seperate envelope for that. When you pay your bill, it will be best you do in it Pairs, so we just give back 10, and then you guys only have to cover the other 30 however you guys want to split it. No point in giving back individuals $5 when it goes to the venue anyways
EQUIPMENT
- Have anyone that brings equipment (TVs/PS3s/Sticks/Laptops/Powers Bars/etc) SIGN IT IN WITH NAME AND NUMBER!!! I already know SOMETHING WILL GO MISSING!!! Lets avoid this.
BRACKETS
- Do 1st round on all 3-4 Tvs
- 2nd round have AT LEAST 1 TV doing winners while the other TVs do losers (therefor winners won’t have to wait 2 hours for their next match, Losers end up staying a little bit longer, so even if they go 2 and out, they will be there long enough to have spent a little money
- When one match begins, PLEASE CALL THE PLAYERS that are ON DECK!! This will save so much time. And we wont be searching for people and skipping sections of the bracket that prolong the entire tourney.
ALSO; if they want to Pay $5 Venue, and only spend 5-10 at the Venue, thats okay, thats still 15 dollars in their pocket, which I’m sure will balance out.
ALSO THERE IS NO SPECTATING FEE!! ANYONE THAT ENTERS IS EXPECTED TO SEND AT THE BAR!! IF YOU DO NOT SPEND WE WILL BE FORCED TO SEPERATE YOU FROM THE TOURNEY

And yes JS; we will try 2:30 Start time but this will NOT HAPPEN!!. Its in your best interest in starting the Brackets closer to 3:00PM as it is gauranteed not everyone will be on time. Also try to include me in the bracket, I will be there around 4:30, I doubt you guys will start on time (no one ever does)
Lastly I would suggest capping the bracket at 64 mans unless we get a significant amount more.
Also WOW YES!!! WHAT OTHER COMMUNITY ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD GETS 60+ LOCALLY FOR ONE EVENT WHICH WAS MOSTLY PLANNED IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS!!!
